I bought this clock as a gift for someone. They loved it because it met all of there specifications of what they wanted.

Bought for parent who needed big, clear display, excellent.

This is a weird little clock. The display only stays visible if it is powered through USB (YOU NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN POWER SUPPLY). Otherwise it goes blank until it hears a noise - then it shows the time for a second or two. The designers think that someone will clap or shout at it in the night to see the time. In my opinion, the designers are mistaken.So, I had to buy a reputable brand phone charger in addition to this clock to be able to use it as a clock. A random unbranded chinese charger is too much of a fire hazard.

I bought this so that I could easily plug my phone in to charge when I went to bed, the wall plug is behind my bed and is a pain to get to. I shouldn't have bothered. I can plug my phone in at 40% when I go to bed and it will be charged to 42% when I get up seven hours later. There are two USB sockets on this thing, but one of them is required to plug the clock into the wall so the second wouldn't be of any use even if it did receive any power.As an alarm clock, the brightness can be turned up and down over quite a huge range. I've kept it turned down to almost minimum because the full brightness is bright enough to keep me awake. The display is easy to read with large digits that I think my elderly mother would be comfortable with.

You have to tap it to see the time. Completely annoying. I bought a problem so will return.

Looks ok, but the two dots in between the numbers flash constantly on and off with each second. Which doesn't look great.
