Schott's Original Miscellany

Perfect book for someone interested in trivia. Great as a gift

I already have a copy of this, but it's the second time I have bought a "used" copy also (out of print I think) to give as gifts. On both occasions the recipient loved it. A must for trivia geeks and quizzers.

I couldn't be without my Schott's. There is an absolute treasure trove of information in here and it can always start a conversation, as everything is a bit obscure. A friend was so obsessed with dipping into it each time she visited, I decided I would buy one for her! We may have Google, but sometimes it's nice to discover random things in a real book whilst chilling out.I love dipping into Schott's and thinking, "I never knew that!". From the Carry On films, egg sizes,colours on the Empire State Building to London tube stations, they're all there and more besides. I totally recommend this little gem..I bought a used copy in perfect condition..what a bargain! My friend was delighted.

So many useful or not facts.

I loved it. It's full of all the bits of random information I keep googling, as well as funny quotes. I don't know how I didn't find out about it earlier.

I bought two of these as presents for my (clever) grandsons. Just the thing for bringing a smile to their faces. No one should be without a copy!

A great gift for that person who seems to have an endless number of facts. I purchased this for my sister, who will at random throw completely unrelated facts out in the middle of conversations or silences. Thought this would help give her more ammo.

If you have 5 or 10 minutes to kill, and want to learn something obscure and amusing, this is the book to have at hand.

A bizarre compendium of random knowledge. Nothing you could not find doing an internet search.Amusing in its choice of topics. Eccentric even.Could have been original several years ago but now it is a total waste of money.
