Vortex Optics Razor HD Spotting Scope 27-60x85 Straight, dark grey

The scope appears fine but the accompanying protective sleeve came damaged with 3 of the 4 clasps broken. It appeared used or so it seemed. This shouldn't have any impact on the performance of the scope it was just an observation and a disappointment when I receive the package. Because of that I could not give it 5 stars. I just hope the scope is new and not refurbished as I paid for a new item. Its just the damage to the sleeve that gives me pause and a little concern on whether I got a new item or not.

I have not had a good experience with this scope. I have only used it 3 or 4 times and every single time the eye piece falls out. I have put it in the only way it fits and always made sure the lock was engaged. I'm thinking maybe I got a defective one. I wished I had used more when first purchased then I would have been able to return. I don't see anyone else having this problem so probably just received a dud. It seems to have a nice clear view when looking through the scope when it works but 3 stars because of the eye piece constantly falling out.

Great clarity. The only flaw is the end cap is made to fit inside the the scope base instead of outside. It makes it hard to get back in.

Great scope ! Excellent focus adjustments. Relatively light weight. Good eyepiece included together with mounting bracket and carrying case. Good value when compared with other high end spotting scopes.

Clear but still fogs a bit.
