I loved this last (?) chapter of the Goth Girl story
I am honesty not sure how a child would take these books. They’d probably enjoy them, in part because the titular heroine and her friends do odd and interesting things (e.g. meeting in an attic, traversing elaborate roof tops, enjoying eccentric foods, etc.) and seem to have fun in each other’s company; and in part, because of the wonderful pen-and-ink illustrations. Just like the previous books, a lot of this book (including many of the many many illustrations) will make sense to and amuse adults. You will recognize - under amusing names - famous folk both from the classics and from current news. And puns. There are puns. One needs the first book to get a solid handle on the main characters, but this is the one I’m most likely to give my adult friends.

Whimsical and filled with delight. I couldn't put it down.
Beautiful illustrations accompany a wonderful story filled with humorous nods to some of the most well known household names of today. I hadn't actually read the first three books in this series, as I was gifted this book, but now I must have them all!
