Does a great job
Bought to replace a dead HD in a DELL Windows 10 laptop. Fitted easily and quickly and decided to install Ubuntu LINUX on it instead of Windows. Working fine so far. Very economical way to save an old laptop.

bought for PS3,
This hard drive was bought as a replacement for my stock ps3 hdd (same as other reviewer here) i just wanted to leave a small review as sonys recent 4:46 firmware update (which was downloaded through the ps3) actually corrupted my stock hdd which then became unusable :(However after reading through other people's same problems on the net i decided to buy this Hitachi hdd to at least be able to get my ps3 working again and to play GTA5 (my advice to anyone who has not yet updated their ps3 to version 4:46 is to make sure that you download it off a pc or laptop to a flash drive and then install) otherwise your ps3 hdd could become corrupted.As the other reviewer has said the Hitachi hdd listed here is fine as a replacement and i had no trouble getting it to boot up once installed so good news i can now play GTA5 until ps4 arrives.

Trial of a HDD
Installed this HDD to replace a failed WD hard drive on an Acer Aspire One Netbook. Was very easy to install and to set up for use. Working so far but will track this to see if it passes the 'one year' life time so far experienced with Western Digital !!

Came as requested and works. In retrospect I wish I had gone for the bigger drive.....

A decent little HDD.
I put this HDD into a clean used Advent 9115 laptop, which was intended to replace my old 9115, a complete hardware write-off. The fresh 9115 refused to install the Linux 19, although it did download to the new HDD. This HDD is now redundant, unless I use it as an external on the fresh, used, Fujitsu Lifebook A series, which I purchased, complete with Win 10, which I will never like. The fresh Lifebook already has a 500GB HDD, which I do not consider replacing with this 320GB.

If your older laptop has this type of hard drive, get one.
If your old laptop has this type of hard drive, for a brand new Hitarchi 320GB hard drive £12.75 (worth having a spare drive). I installed in my older laptop, in less than a hour, my laptop was back up & running.

Dead drive already
The drive has already stopped working and it’s been less than 6 months.
