Powerful CSL - Dual Band AC1200 Wi-Fi stick speeds up your PC and notebook Wi-Fi connection using the superfast and latest generation Wi-Fi AC technology! This compact Wi-Fi Stick provides wider Wi-Fi coverage, faster data transfer rates and improved stability. High speed wireless networks and Internet connections can be established via a DSL router using the latest Wi-Fi standard 802.11ac. Especially the Dual band technology makes HD video streaming, online gaming or Internet telephony (VoIP) more enjoyable without delays. Using the USB 3.0 Super Speed port, Wi-Fi data transfer rates of up to 300 Mbit/s can be achieved at 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbit/s at 5 GHz with compatible routers. Owing to the IEEE802.11a/b/g/n standard, the Wi-Fi Stick can be used with all Wi-Fi-compatible routers, access points or wireless networks. Thanks to the advanced MIMO technology (2T2R), a better performance and network stability can be achieved, which results in a wider Wi-Fi coverage. The individual devices (clients) can communicate via a central access point using the supported infrastructure network. The stick can also be used as a virtual access point in the SoftAP mode. You can share your connection with your Wi-Fi devices such as desktop PCs, smartphones or tablet PCs. Connect the USB adapter to any available USB port, install the driver and your fast Wi-Fi connection is ready for use. The compact design and extremely easy installation, as well as the secure wireless encryption ensure that you can surf wirelessly at any time. Supports Miracast (Windows desktop projection)
I wanted to use my laptop as an additional screen for my PC as ridiculously windows 10 doesn't support this over LAN. It's difficult to find any adapter that supports it, as no one lists miracast specifically and the information across the internet is vague and mostly out of date. Wifi direct seems to be the key but may not be the only factor, so I purchased this, plugged it in and used the default windows drivers and I can now use my laptop as a second screen without any additional software! Posting this so hopefully it helps someone else struggling with the same problem!
