His body of work is outstanding, each country or city the work is produce give a dark and interesting side to the culture or the environment that it taken in. A joy to have and the inspiration.

The most amazing photographer, artist I know of. I was so happy to see this book published. This man is a legend, and does not get the recognition he deserves.

I love the Caravaggio style of lighting. These are paintings just captured on medium format. He's a master in displaying the beauty in darkness.

The photographer produces only a few photos each year. The detail and care of his art challenge me to become as powerful in my own work.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with this book. I found most of the photographs static and trite. I think fashion photography has the potential to be engaging and thought provoking but that was missing here.

The Best Book!

If you're a fan or love photography, well it's a good one. Especially if you're interested in portrait and street photography. Philip-Lorca diCorcia is a must in that field. So, of course, there is plenty of photographs (great ones) but that's about it. This is not the book you want to buy to read about diCorcia. But still, very glad to have it!

A brilliant collection of 11 years worth of assignments shot by art photographer diCorcia for US fashionbible W magazine across 11 cities of the world.All done in his typical detached style where the human condition takes centre place.Be warned-there is not much evidence of typical fashion photography here.Highly recommended for lovers of art photography.

J'ai acheté ce livre suite à ma visite à l'expo parisienne du peintre Édouard Hopper ou l'on présentait parallèlement ce photographe. J'ai été subjuguée par son travail et ce livre le résumé bien. Il a su saisir toute la profondeur et la gravité des gens qu'il a photographie dans les quartiers sombres et les bordels des états unis mais aussi des personnalités et des mannequins. Son style très particulier mêle la composition et la dramaturgie. Pour les amoureux de la photographie de genre.
