The first-ever collaboration between Italian bassist-composer Lorenzo Feliciati and Italian vocalist-multi-instrumentalist-sonic provocateur Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (aka LEF) defies easy categorization as it awakens the senses. At times darker than the Grim Reaper and heavier than the soundtrack for the Apocalypse, it can turn on a dime and swing insistently, or wail mournfully, or float mysteriously. Is it rock? Is it jazz? Is it ambient, avant garde, opera or something else? Regardless of tags, the music that Feliciati and Fornasari make together as Berserk! on their self-titled debut stands an imposing manifesto. It is an iron fist upside the head of complacency. With the two Lorenzos at the core of this formidable collective, they brought in such potent and provocative voices as guitarist Eivind Aarset, trombonist Gianluca Petrella, alto saxophonist Sandro Satta, keyboardists Fabrizio Puglisi and Jamie Saft, and drummers Cristiano Calcagnile, Pat Mastelotto (Feliciati s bandmate in Naked Truth) and Simone Cavina to enhance the proceedings. Hey Dude, Totally Buy This
Once upon a time there was a band from Canada called Berserk that no one ever heard of. Then came along me, Marsupial Rex, with twenty cents I bought a CD by this band and listened to it. It was beyond amazing. Have you ever wondered how music could be better than it currently is? This CD answers you by saying that it can't get any better. If all the members of Devo died, then they were reincarnated by parrots and they could recreate their music, but it would be unique compared to the music they made when they were alive, it would sound like this CD.One day I was playing this CD in my car while driving to work. A blind man passing by heard it and took his glasses off. He could see for the first time in his life. This CD also functions as a test to tell vampires from regular people. If someone passing by hears it and doesn't spontaneously breaks out in song they are always a vampire. After listening to this CD I was given a promotion, a riase, and I won five thousand dollars on a lottery ticket given to me by my ex-girlfriend.Upon copying the music from the CD to my computer it tripled in speed and is now completely invulnerable to any and all viruses known to man. My computer became so fast that I could run Crysis at full capacity. If you buy this CD you will absolutely not regret it and if you do then you're probably a vampire and should be killed.

Clever Power-Pop
The Berserk trio delivers a consistently fun power-pop album. Listen closely - the lyrics are really clever. Who else could make songs about giant flying robots, Japanese cartoon characters and a lovelorn penpal so widely apprealing?! Besides the infectious "Giant Robots", my favorite is "When I Think", the ultimate puppy-love break-up anthem. Enjoy!
