Urgo Filmogel Mouth Ulcers 6ml

This is an excellent product. Having been bothered by a severely cut lower lip bite, this product starting the healing process from the outset and within 3 days the injury had heald. Previously neat peroxide as a mouth wash combined with Bonjella had little beneficial effect.I don't understand other reviewers who state that there are no instructions in English. There are. I disagree with the instructions however which advises application before meals. This seems to me to be counter. I applied the gel after meals and twice per day was sufficient - the film coating is long lasting. Prior to application, I dried the injury with a tissue and coated it with a thin layer of gel - kept my lip open to the air for 20 - 30 seconds and the gel is dry.Best mouth ulcer/injury I've ever found and the quanity will last ages.Only a very thin film is required

For years Bonjela has been my go to help when sore gums some how appeared or I bit my cheek. And I used Bonjela Plus when the damage needed a film of extra protection for a while.Then Bonjela Plus became impossible to get. I don't know why and I'm not speculating. But Needed something for the occasional problem.Then I discovered Urgo which is as easy to use as Bonjela Plus. Its taste is a bit medical, but that's expected and so was the taste of Bonjela Plus. And considering its pain relieving powers - I'd say equal with B+ - it's definitely value for money.

Mouth ulcers - this product stings and burns intensely for about 20 seconds on application, but then the pain subsides and the thick gel turns into a white film that adheres to the ulcer, providing pain relief and good cover, i just wish it didn't sting so badly when you apply it.

Not the easiest spatula to use.

Given 5 stars because this is brilliant stuff. But at £13.50 a bottle for what should have been 6ml but was why less then the amount stated I won't be buying again.

After spending the whole of my 30+ years on this earth suffering from large, painful, appetite killing, weight loss inducing mouth ulcers, this is like a gift from the Gods. And I'm not a religious person!After years of looking and giving up, I looked around online after my last most painful bout a couple of months ago to see if anything had a high enough chance of working better than numbing gel and this was highly rated by lots of people. I was sceptical at first but figured I had nothing to lose in trying it next time I had a break out.Fast forward to this week where I had completely forgotten about buying Urgo and I've got about 4 dreadful, large and painful ulcers dotted on my cheeks and tongue. Positioned as usual with no regard or sympathy for eating painlessly. Today I remembered my purchase and instantly after application it was like I had no ulcers at all! I didn't have to cautiously place my food and tongue to eat and I actually forgot about my ulcers.If you're a long time sufferer like me who felt patronised and failed by the mere suggestion of bongela and anbesol by those who were less afflicted, then I couldn't recommend this more! One application of the fluid leaves a small film over them, I haven't found there to be any taste or strange tingling, only instant relief. I don't know about the suggestion that it speeds up the healing process yet but the coating is enough for me to hail this as a miracle.I will always have this in my medicine drawer from now on!! Brilliant product!

I've tried many ulcer treatments, I suffer with them constantly. The only thing that worked once, was taken off the market? ever since then, I've been trying to find something as good. This is supposed to lay a film over the ulcer and protect it and heal it, it does sting a bit, but I'm used to worse, I had an ulcer inside my bottom lip. I dried it to give it the best chance, I applied urgo, holding my lip down watching it dry white I waited till it dried before enough letting go of my bottom lip, again, giving it the best chance! Within probably less than half an hour the horrible taste of this stuff creeps down your throat and, bit by bit the white stuff just comes off. I went and looked in the mirror the white stuff was just a little ball that I actually had to spit out..i hadn't eaten or drank anything... waste of money.

Do Not Use This product on tooth extraction site as you could cause dry socket which is unbearable (you must not touch or remove the blood clot in the socket site as this assists the healing process)I’ve got a gap left in my gum with jaw bone showing through - after a difficult tooth removal (the stitches pulled the gum & left a small gap where my jaw bone shows through - it is sharp and has made my tongue hurt) this solution has smoothed over the sharp edge and helps no end - it really does hurt on first application especially if you get any on your tongue - but it settles down quickly - luckily I bought two bottles so I hope it will last until my gum heals (there are no English instructions - but it’s pretty self explanatory anyway)
