I feel like this is a great grinder for small breed dogs. We have a beagle mix and it wasn't powerful enough for her nails. She has some white and some black nails, so we thought this would be a great option for her, but it is just not quite strong enough for her nails, and she's only 38lbs.

It's not quite as powerful as my old grinder that broke. This could either be a pro or a con I suppose. It's not going to grind off my dog's whole nail, but it also means that grinding down his nails takes *forever*. This would be fine if my dog didn't hate getting his nails done, but he's skittish and spending 30min grinding down nails can get exhausting. However, I love the multiple angles you can go from and the fact that it's easily rechargable.

This isn’t as powerful as the corded nail grinders, but it is much safer and quieter in comparison. This is a tool for regular maintenance. Don’t expect to tackle very overgrown nails in one sitting, as it would take a long time and the friction could burn your dog. I use it when my dog is already relaxed, gently tapping the nail with the grinder for 2 or 3 seconds, then move on to the next nail. My dog falls asleep!

Despite seller's reassurances in the question and answer section that this will work for medium and large breed dogs, it wasn't powerful enough to work for my Doberman puppy (who was still around 40 lbs and nowhere near full-grown). I was disappointed because it does have a quiet motor, and is small and easy to handle and seemed like it would have cut down on the stress of nail-trimming.

My dog hates it, but I suppose that's normal. On the off chance I can surprise her and actually get a nail it works great. This also is a great tool if you're looking for a workout, wrestling a 60lb dog for 30 minutes trying to grind her nails is a great workout, already lost 10lbs in a month.

I can't give this low stars because the nail grinder does work, but I had to give it to my mother-in-law for her small dogs because it does not work on my Great Dane and German Shepherd. Their nails were just too big

This is not made for bigger dogs the battery isn't strong enough to do all nails on big dogs

Works ok, it doesn’t grind the nails down as quickly as I would like, I feel like you really have to work for it. My dog does not like her nails trimmed so that adds for a lot of squirming during process.
