This book will teach you a lot of history about ...
This book will teach you a lot of history about the lost Island of Mu and the Lemuria people that lived there. Where they went when the Island sunk and what parts of the Island that was left. It was written in 1888 and has a lot of history you have never heard of. Well worth the read.

Guess my expectations exceeded what appears to be the rantings of a woman who often wasn't sure which personality she wanted to express in that moment.

No Real insight
This book offered very little if any insight. It stated some pretty well worn concepts masquerading as enlightenment with very little specifics. Then it proceeded to examine madame Blavatskys critics, methods, and cohorts. I can accept an enlightened individual criticized as being crazy, even fraudulent because anyone professing ideas outside of mainstream "philosophical" thought is always branded, but I learned absolutely nothing from reading this with the exception that my discernment of valued paths of understanding versus time wasters has been accelerated. For this I'm extremely grateful because it made the purchase of the book of Dzyan well worth the price

true wisdom, incomplete, valuable
I enjoyed this text and have read it more than once. What most people fail to comprehend is that much of the ancient wisdom is written as a "blind" to avoid abuse by the ignorant and wicked. But deep meditation, sustained until clarity is revealed, will give the seeker his or her due. But be patient and determined as well as persistent. There are no quick info fixes in the "Ancient Wisdom." Do your homework, seek the works of TRUE Spiritual Masters, and avoid the many charlatans like the plague; many are from the dark side and seek to confuse and distort; others are just fame and fortune seekers, mercenary to the core. This text is valuable, but would have been more so with more of the Dzyan material made available. Thank you HPB.

Maroney writes baloney
Mr. Tim Maroney has obviously never studied Theosophy nor Blavatsky's work although he may have read some of it - which is not the same. This publication is a total rip-off both in content and price. The Secret Doctrine in two volumes can be purchased for $40 or less containing all these Stanzas and their accompanying explanations.Maroney in his introduction rehashes the same baloney that has been spread for over a century relating to Blavatsky as being a charlatan and a trickster, every accusation of that sort having either remained unproven or has been disproven in the mean time, yet the slanders keep continuing by people who haven't studied the first iota of her teachings. This book is a waist of money if one can go to the real thing for less money!

essential for the esoterist.
This book is said to be a translation of stanza's written in senzar. Although their is a lot of controversy about the work of HHB, the work itself stands out on its own, and is of great value. I thoroughly recommend this book.

Dalla Russia con Tentacoli
La donna della copertina è stata una personalità controversa delle scienze occulte, tutta da scoprire ancora oggi. Introdurla in un gioco di ruolo bello come questo offre una enormità di spunti per il narratore.
