This fin is adorable, and my son was really excited to use it, but the straps are too small for him. He is big, and he is a good swimmer, but we live in a lake community and I insist all the kids wear some sort of float, so that if an emergency happens at least we can get to them!! The water is murky, so it is always a fear someone will slip under the surface. I tried to order the larger straps from the website, but the shipping for the straps plus the shipping cost more then the fin itself!!! I understand they are coming from the UK, but the fin came from the UK too. I'm hoping to be able to find the straps for less somewhere!!!

I am going to buy another one of these. This is an awesome product! My nephew was scared to take off his life vest, although he can swim a little, but when this arrived he gave it a chance. He says it's not quite as buoyant as a life vest, but it is buoyant enough to give him courage. He's having the time of his life today. He even took a chance to jump off the side. I have a feeling this is the first step to swimming on his own.I wouldn't necessarily leave a child in the water all by him or herself with just this on, if he or she could not swim. It doesn't hold the head up or have safety straps like a light. This is not a life vest. This is a buoyant toy... Not unlike a noodle. This does keep the child floating so it may not for someone who wants to be able to swim underwater.

This helps my son so much with his confidence and aid with swimming. Everyone has asked us where we have purchased this!! We love it and will purchase and recommend to others

The swim fin worked as advertised. My six year old grandson took it out and immediately was comfortable in deep water floating upright. when I gave swim instructions he easily transitioned to a breast stroke position without the fin providing much aid, but when he returned to heads up position it floated him perfectly. he even found he could lie back on it. it is a very good swim training aid. it clearly will not replace a life jacket in boating situations for safety reasons, but as a swimming aid under adult supervision I give it five stars.

I am very pleased with the Shark SwimFin. My son loved the color. The straps are easy to put on and take off. It was easy enough for my 5 year old to figure out. It is made of a nice durable material and it puts him in the water at the ideal depth so that he can work on a better swimming form. As a mom it makes me feel more at ease that he has the swim fin to help him and he still feels independent. I would recommend this to everyone. I love it!

Great fun! My 3 year old loves the attention he gets when he wears this and he loves sharing it with his friends. Its better to wear with a rash guard shirt so the straps don't rub on their belly. He can even flip over on his back easily and float with no problem. Our son had already taken swim lessons since we live in Florida and have pool, but if you have a child that can't swim yet, this would be a great tool to build there confidence! definitely worth the money spent!

This was exactly what we were looking for. My four year old is a new swimmer. He needs less support than floaties, but more than being completely on his own. This allows him to swim with his face in the water and use his arms and legs, but doesn't let him sink. It fits my skinny guy, but the straps are large and there's plenty of room to grow. Plus, he loves the look of the fin.

I love the bright blue color and the fact that it will help my son float but it is not an approved safety device so keep that in mind when ordering if for the YMCA or another private pool such as that. It has two straps to keep it safely on the body. My son wanted one to pretend to be a shark to chase his sisters around the pool and go do do do doo.

Absolutely fabtastic, well worth it. We bought my son this as we were going on holiday and he isn't very confident in the water, after wearing this twice on separate occasions for approximately 90 minutes it's taken him from non confident clinging onto myself with armbands to a swimmer just needing it for that little bit of reassurance for confidence. With a couple more swim sessions I think he won't need it anymore.

It is good. My 5 year old has struggled to learn to swim and this has given her the confidence to learn to move around the water without any problems or fears.She took to it immediately and did half a width on her own ! My only comment is that you need to check the weight of the child against the recommended weight for the product - she will only be able to use it for another 6/9 months so it does have its limits - i dont know if there is a swimfin for older children / more heavy children ??

Amazing product. No more armbands getting in the way of swim bests rucking up. This really does do the job. My children love it.Easy to use and swim with on front or back. Doesn’t get in the way of their stroke.I have been asked by several people at pools to have a turn, all have them gone on to buy one.Worth every penny.

Brilliant invention! 2 year old loves it, keeps him afloat perfectly, and Granny loves it because it's safe, no need for blowing up armbands just strap the fin around the child's chest. Great for child's confidence in learning to swim and also bring's a smile to anyone's face when they see a "Dolphin" walking around the pool! Highly recommended and worth the price.
