Maybe a better choice as a work boot than hunting boot...?
I ordered 10 wide because it was much cheaper than the regular width and I sometimes wear a wide shoe/ boot depending on the manufacturer. I gambled, but with free returns, why not..? I would say my foot is average to slightly wide. The wide is too wide for me. That is not a knock on the boot, people with wide(er) feet will probably be happy. I will not be exchanging these for the regular width for a few reasons. The main reason is the price point. These wides were $60 when I bought on amazon, the regular width is $145?! I can find better quality boots for that price point if l do some thrifty research. The other reasons I will be returning these are the weight and bulk. I thought I could live with the weight, but I decided I didn't want to once I laced them up. Also they are a bit bulky. They feel like a snow boot almost. The boot seems well constructed, and as stated plainly in the Q&A section they are on the heavy side. My postal scale confirmed 2.75lb average per boot. One boot was 2.73 while the other was 2.77, so that is 5.5lbs avg. per pair with a .4oz difference between the two boots. Depending on what you are doing the weight may be fine. I bought these for hunting. I do a fair amount of hiking, not sure what I was thinking when I bought these besides "cheap!"... I already have a heavy pair of 600g Danner full grain leather boots, I need something lighter- chalk it up to amateurism I guess and being frugal. These definitely have more of a work boot feel to them. They feel stout, and are heavy. Most likely due to the THICK rubber sole and all leather construction. The sole is tall- taller than I would prefer for sure footing over uneven terrain. With 600g of thinsulate they should be fine for colder weather, ice fishing, the construction site, clearing your driveway of snow or sitting in a tree stand but for more active hikes maybe not the best choice.Admittedly, I don't have any real time on the trail with these boots. I tried them on in my living room and knew they weren't going to be right for me (fit, weight, price) and what I wanted to do. Instead I was able to find another brand name high quality boot on sale for about $100 that weighs nearly half as much, also water proof and insulated, but not all leather construction which probably where the weight savings comes from. So whether or not these are right for you I guess depends on what you plan on doing. IMO these are not one of the better choices as a hunting boot, but for other activities they may be just fine. Choose wisely. Can't really give a fair review based on not getting any trail miles on them, so 5 stars for initial out of the box quality construction, minus a star for price point and weight based on a short living room test drive. 4 stars overall.

So far so good. Time will tell.
Just got these today not as an everyday wear boot, but for mountain hikes on rocky and uneven trails for which they seem to be very well suited. The soles are thick and sturdy, I put them on and I was instantly about a half inch taller. This is just what I wanted for the rugged mountain trails I hike. Hiking shoes with thinner soles always tended to wear away at my feet as I could feel every rock in a trail poking my feet as I stepped on them. Shouldn't be a problem with the rugged soles on these boots which will offer more protection from rocks, while still flexible enough for my feet to bend naturally with each step. As to the fit, I ordered an eleven medium, which is what I normally wear in most shoes, but these seem just a tad bigger in the width. Thicker socks will be needed for extended hikes so that I don't get blisters or raw spots from rubbing. They are insulated, so wearing thicker socks puts these solidly in the winter/ fall/ spring category, and definitely not for summer wear. Just wearing these here for a few hours walking around the house and I can feel the warmth with average thickness cotton socks. The overall construction and materials is solid, but as with any footwear, if it's worn day in and day out, it will wear out sooner than if rotated with other footwear. These should last me a long time as I will only use them a few times a year for their intended purpose. I have a "trick" ankle due to nerve damage which sometimes just turns my foot on it's side unexpectedly as I bring it down which causes me to fall. The height of these boots is also one of the reasons I chose them. They come up well over my ankles so they offer much more support there than lower shoes. Last thing I need is for my foot to fail me on a 10 inch wide path 40 feet above the next boulder covered switchback. A fall like that can easily be fatal, so I really appreciate the support these boots give to my ankles.I have yet to wear these out on the trails, but I feel that they will perform as expected.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
I ordered these boots in mid Oct, 2018. It is now late September, 2019. I work in construction and have been wearing these boots for work since they arrived. They were bigger than normal. The 11.5 is more like a 12 IMO. They are also heavy. Those are the only two hiccups with these boots. They are TOUGH. I usually go through a pair of boots every six months. Not these. The tread has lasted much longer than I thought it would considering these boots are not designed for raw concrete surfaces. They are still water proof. They are also hot but that goes without saying considering they are hunting boots. If you are planning on using them for hunting only they should last you a very long time. I have put these things through hell for a year now and they are holding up great. I also wear them camping, tp rifle/pistol training events, hunting, etc. At the inside of the left boot feel is just now starting to separate from the upper. I have been married for 21 years and my wife has never seen any other pair of boots last me a whole year. These were money well spent and I will be ordering another pair in a couple of weeks.
