Quiksilver Boys Pierside

These are the only hats I wear during the summer. They are only good for 2 summers. They fall apart after that. I've bought at least 8 in my life. If that's an issue for you, get something different. I love them because of how cool they are.

This hat is great for the beach and priced very fair. It's not going to last through a lifetime of abuse, but it serves its purpose well and looks nice at the same time. It's also performed well as a grass mowing hat to protect my skin from the summer sun. For around $20 you can't really beat this hat for its intended purpose. Not junk at all but also not so expensive you'll stress over it getting blown away by the wind or forgotten in the hotel when you check out.

We purchased a hat like this for my husband several years ago and he really loved wearing it when doing yardwork, coaching outdoor sports in the summer, etc. to protect his head, face, and neck from the sun. After several years of use (and a some rough handling by my kids), it started to get damaged, so we tried to order a replacement. Unfortunately, the first replacement arrived damaged (the box was severely damaged, as was the hat inside) and was an immediate return. We ordered a replacement. This time, the box arrived intact, but the hat inside was still damaged (the straw was cracked in several places and there were holes in the hat like it had been crushed prior to shipping). We returned the replacement and tried a third time, but that hat also arrived damaged so we gave up and ordered a different brand (fabric, not straw). Considering the initial purchase (several years ago) arrived in good condition and lasted several years, I assume the material and manufacturing quality have gone down over the years.

Box and hat were in perfect condition when it arrived. I searched and searched for a hat that would fit. I'm on the large side of 7.5 hat sizes (USA), so all the other wide-brim hats that I tried were too small. This XL is very comfortable. This straw hat is very comfortable to wear. I give credit to the elastic head band for its comfort. And, like all straw hats, it let's the breeze through very well, so it's very cool to wear in the sun. The crown keeps it shape even when placing/removing the hat, which I really like because that's how I put it on/off. I like the natural color. There are other brands with all kinds of designs and colors, but I wanted a natural-color straw hat without an inner liner. Plus, no liner helps to keep the hat lightweight. I can't say enough good things about the quality and performance of the hat. I will be buying more in the future.

Ordered a s/m hat. Fit is true to size. This has a smaller brim than other similar hats I've had, but the brim size still provides excellent coverage for face and neck, there is a shade area that is pretty much head and shoulder - so the back of your next isn't going to get singed. Price is better than I have found to date. Paid more for hats that didn't fit my head, even had to wear a hat underneath some of them. I've worn this on upper 80 degree days, hat is still cooler to wear than mesh baseball hat. This hat sits very well upside down in a 5 gallon bucket in a hatch on my flats boat, no worries of deformation during storage.

I have never been much of a hat fan mainly because I have an unusually big head. You wouldn’t know it looking at me, but back in my baseball coaching days I had a hell of a hard time finding a team hat that didn’t fit so tight as to give me headaches. I usually had to settle for a 7 3/4 as that was usually the biggest available which was still tight. One year we got an oddball 8 in which was perfect. I live on a lake and spend a lot of time on it or on my tractor and have used a number of less than satisfactory head garments trying to keep the sun at bay. I was on the lake a couple of years ago and found an almost intact straw hat floating nearby and to my astonishment it fit me just about perfect. I’ve been using it since for all my field work and it’s wide brim really did the job shading my face, but after a couple of years it was starting to show it’s age, so I thought I go on amazon a look for a couple of similar hats that came big. Out of the many there were only a couple that looked like they might work. Before ordering these a thought came to me to take a closer look at the hat I’ve been using for manufacturer marking or names. It had a reddish tag on the front and a headband tag inside that said “quicksilver” L/XL. A quick search on amazon revealed they carried just such a hat with a picture that looked nearly the same to what I had and at a bargain price much less then what I had sitting in my cart. $22. I quickly ordered one thinking it was probably a longshot that it’d fit like the old one since it had been a few years since i found my old one, so I was prepared to return it. My mail lady came with a big box two days later telling me she thought they forgot to put whatever I ordered in the box as it felt empty. Straw hats don’t weigh much of course. What came out of that box was my old hat reincarnated, and most importantly of all, it fit perfectly. So good in fact I ordered two more and would have ordered even more except the amazon app limited me to just two more for some reason. I’ve since ordered another plus two more having a silver outside hat label instead of red. All clones of the others for $22 each although during my ordering escapades the price occasionally listed at almost $30. Amazon’s pricing algorithm does that sometimes, but the price is currently back to the original $22. I’d buy it at $30 if I didn’t already have an ample supply. So if you’re like me and have an unusually large head (I wish that translated to large brain!) this is the hat for you.

That hat is exactly what you expect. However there are multiple places the hat is already coming apart. I get that it is a straw type material but the last hat I had lasted years before it started to fray.

Well made hat, use for working out in the yard.

No lo volvería a comprar solo es bello pero no dura nada en mi casa compraron varios y q todos les paso lo mismo

El costo elevado (lo envían desde EEUU), pero vale la pena. Ha llegado muy bien embalado y protegido y el sombrero es de 10. Hay que tener cuidado con él porque es delicado, pero si estáis buscando un sombrero como este, lo recomiendo!

El sobrero muy bonito buen material solo que los que empacan no tienen cuidado lo ponen en caja muy chica y llega maltratado casi se rompió de una ala es por la forma de empaque deben de cambiar me lo dejé por lo bien echo y gusto se tuvo que enderezar mojado

Ho dovuto ordinare due volte perché il primo era arrivato devastato, rimborso Amazon immediato come sempre. Il secondo invece era perfettamente riposto in una scatola di grandi dimensioni e adatta al tipo di articolo. È più bello di quanto pensassi, utile per chi vuole proteggere viso e spalle dal sole.

O chapéu é muito bonito, confortável e de ótima qualidade.
