Had a rounded, seized 17mm wheel bolt that had been well over tightened. Could not undo it with various sockets, breaker bars or high torque impact wrenches. This was the last resort before drilling or welding options.17mm socket fitted well, hammered on and used a breaker bar to undo first time. Took a fair bit of force and eventually cracked free and bolt undone easily. Very pleased with this, worth every penny. Highly recommend.

I spent several days trying to remove a very rounded bolt from my BMW 1-series so that I could change the break pads, only to make in continually worse and rounded, to the point the my 17mm socket no longer gripped at all.Although these are somewhat pricey it worked perfectly at removing the bolt within 2 minutes, after gently hammering in the 17mm bolt on, it gripped perfectly, the bolt was evidently extremely tight and seized up and took substantial force.No power tools needed just an extended lug wrench. Highly recommended to save on costly alternatives. There was also no damage to the socket so it is fine for multiple uses.

Went to change a wheel with a flat tyre and found my locking wheel nut key was knackered. I was stuck, unable to remove the locking nuts. My heart sank as I thought I'd need to get the car recovered to a garage. There wasn't much hope of me sourcing a replacement key any time soon. I thought I'd give this set a try as I could get it on same delivery, and it was cheap enough to throw away if it turned out to be awful. To my surprise, it worked perfectly, I hammered one of the sockets onto my nut and then unscrewed with a pry bar. Job done, crisis over and a new set of nuts on the car on a Sunday. Not very often that something like this does the job you bought it for, without disaster, but these were perfect.

Why did you choose this product over others?:had to remove all four wheel locks ad i lost the key brought this kit hoping it would to the job on the 1st nut it took a bit of time and hassle to remove but manage to do it but on the rest of the last 3 nuts it wouldn't even touch them all because the inside of the socket was rounded off. not sure it was down to the cheap metal they used or not but money wasted will not buy again
