Almost perfect pressing of a unique soundtrack - Double LP too!
Just wanted to say that unlike wherenext?'s my copy played fine straight from the sleeves. No cleaning required and silent playback - no clicks or pops on my system at all. The only very slight minus on the pressing is that it is not 100% flat however it is only a very slight dish and barely noticable. To be fair to wheresnext? I have noticed that the Death Waltz pressings that have two or more colours in the vinyl like this one are not always as good as the single colour pressings they do but at the end of the day this one plays beautifully for me. I would suggest to anyone who receives a pressing from amazon that they are not happy with to return it as they have excellent no quibbles service here. The music itself here is excellent and practically the definition of psychotronic. I have a compilation of Nico Fidenco's music from the Black Emanuele series (despite having never seen the films) and that is a great album, some of the jazzy funk style of that has ended up on this double LP however there is also much strange synth experimentation, bizarre sounds and jungle drums too. Highly recommended, I was lucky enough to get this from amazon at just over 15 quid but it is well worth over 20.

Excellent soundtrack but let down by poor pressing as many ...
Excellent soundtrack but let down by poor pressing as many of the tracks skipped/jumped. If you can get a good pressing then go for it. One of the best soundtracks of the 'video nasties', up there with Cannibal Holocaust.

Extraordinary Soundtrack Music
The opening track, Fascinating Horror, is incredible - synth texture wash and pulse away whilst a light beat kicks in... This is a hugely brilliant piece of work that bands like ZOMBI and ZOMBIE ZOMBIE brilliantly emulate. By complete contrast, the second track is an acoustic ballad with a slow beat and wordless female vocals and strings. We then get the synth-based theme revisited followed by jazzed up disco burst that leap back into synth pulses. This is quite an incredible mix of stuff - track 16, a dive in the past, has an experimental, almost free feel to it, with synth waves giving way to a clatter of drums. This is quite incredible - the 30 tracks are all quite short and it's not something you'd want to listen to in one go, but this is definitely an extraordinary piece of that outclasses the film it is from. If you like Fabio Frizzi, Goblin, Zombi, and the other bands using analogue synths, then you should love this.
