Rated a B- purchase: not awful, could be better
These are all right. Wish I could give it 3.5 stars; it’s not a true 3. My sister bought them for her room, and these were long enough to make a pretty good sized letter (her name starts with an “M”, too). The clips all lie funky, though, so all of the pictures she put up are at weird angles. It’s no big deal, I guess, but it isn’t as clean an aesthetic as she would have preferred. You can only kind of tell in the picture, but it’s pretty obvious in person. One thing she really does like is that the lights are a nice warmth—not too yellow, not too bright white. The clips themselves are a little cheap. One of them “broke” when she first started clipping pictures on, you know the way a clothespin breaks into its separate components? She was able to fix it, but it was a pain. Just be careful and not too rough when handling them. Also, the sticky wall clips to hang the string up (thoughtful to include with the set) aren’t very strong. One broke with just a pinch. Two of them fell off the wall in the middle of the night and scared the crap out of her because obviously the string and clips fell, too. She ended up just hanging the string from two nails. Oh, and the box for the batteries (not included, by the way) is a little unwieldy. She has hers resting on the bookshelf underneath, but if that weren’t there she’d have to figure out some way to fix it to the wall so it doesn’t just hang, awkwardly. All in all, she bought it on sale and doesn’t regret it enough to return it. She wouldn’t buy it again, though—or she’d go with a different brand.

“Little knot here. You can work on that.”
Remember that scene in National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation when Clark Griswold hands Rusty the giant ball of lights that need to be untangled? Yeah, that’s these string lights. Removing them and unwinding them from the box are a nightmare, as is trying to hang them without immediately creating yet another huge knot. Once they’re finally hanging they look great, but they are just not worth the endless headache. If you’re a glutton for punishment, by all means, buy them. However, I’d highly suggest you save your $10 and look elsewhere.

Nice Way to Display Photos
I got this to display old Christmas photographs. The lighted pins actually don't add that much, but it was a fun way to share old memories. I'll be keeping it to use at birthday/retirement/shower parties in the future.

Memory lane
I made my brother cry with those. It looks very nice in an outdoor night party. The pictures were so memorable. He plans on using this idea for his wedding. I am happy

poorly made
I bought these to hang in my daughters room. The only last about 1 month. They come with sticky tabs to adhere to the wall. When I went to take it down after it stopped working it left huge marks on the walls and removed the paint.

Warm and inviting glow
These are so cute. I hung them up inside the front door in the entry of my home. These lights put off a warm welcoming glow perfect to show case pictures, cards or special projects from school. I can see these hanging around my house for a long time.

Aesthetic
The pictures are a little misleading in that it makes it look longer than it really is, but fortunately for me, that actually worked in my favor. I love the aesthetic and the hooks are confusing to understand at first, but they are really strong. It really makes this wall look beautifully decorated.

Love these! I used them at my friends wedding ...
Love these! I used them at my friends wedding and bridal shower! Con: the photos don’t lay straight due to the clips be wired in with the lights sideways. If you try to move them you will break the lights so it’s kind of funky in that way but it didn’t affect looking at all the pics too much. Loved the color of lights too!
