It lives
Looked like a twig when it arrived, but I thought "trust the process". Followed instructions and within weeks leaves began to sprout.

Looks like 2 sticks cobbled together but then it sprang into life!
This took ages to 'come to life' in fact at one point i was going to get rid of it, as for ages it was just like 2 bare sticks cobbled together. But after i wrapped a plastic bag round it for 3 weeks, it suddenly sprang to life and started growing. Its so good to see the changes every few days. I'm not expecting a crop this first year but am sure next year maybe?
