POKE A HOLE IN THE GLUE BOTTLE NOSSLE FIRST!!!!!! Had to replace two rod tips and decided to go with this kit after doing some research. Every product on the planet is going to have negative reviews regardless, but I mainly look for a pattern such as "the glue is sticky even after using the light it came with" well that's just dumb because it's the worlds tinniest UV keychain light. What kind of results are you looking for lol. It states that if the glue is still sticky after using small light to put the rod in direct sunlight for up to 5hrs. Well, I would only assume that if you don't have a bright UV light to cure the glue, it would need to sit out there regardless, at least with the light UV light that comes with this kit you can dry it more than enough to at least handle it roughly. I still plan on putting it in the sun as I don't have a powerful YV light.Another bad review I came across was that the glue bottle tip would fly off when squeezing and spill everywhere... Again, DUMB.. Just use a thumb tac and poke the tip of the glue bottle before using.. DUHHHHHHH..But, overall, this kit did wonders and works great. It came with basically two of each size ranging from pretty small too big, instructions, two fine grit sandpaper sheets, 1 hot glue stick, glue, keychain light, storage case, roll of little masking tape, and string wrap on a roll.

It came with everything and seems to work. Have to cut the tip off the resin glue. I thought originally it was dried out but it wasn't. I probably didn't put the thread on right and I'm not even sure the purpose of it since the tip is glued on great. And it doesn't seem like anybody knows what to do with the masking tape LOL. But the kit works great I've got the tip on my rod. The glue is still a little tacky after the UV light but directions say to leave it in the sun for 5 hours . Now I can go back out and have the bass ignore me like they usually do!

would have given 5 stars but the eyes are not solid. the 2 support arms are not connected tube that slides on to the rod tip. So they need to be wrapped .. so not useful for a quick. field repair

Last year I had a rod tip eyelet replaced at a tackle shop. Pretty quickly it broke again rather than take it back. I just decided to buy this kit. I was surprised by how quick and easy it was to fix this rod. Also, I feel that the components were a better quality than what they used. Unlike some other kits and the tackle shop, this kit, let you wrap it with thread and then cover it with resin. I think this is gonna hold up very well.I read several reviews that state that they could not get the resin to dry with the UV light. My experience was that it hardened within a minute using the light up close. I was actually surprised how effective it was.

I have only repaired two poles so far, but it seems to hold up and work like new! The money spent so far has saved two poles, so about broke even right now. Each one I fix after this will be money saved! Great value and variety of sizes! And it almost looks factory, but I wasn't very stable when I installed it and with practice, I'll get better!

Seems OK but didn't include a tip small enough for my ultra light rod so haven't used

The great thing about this kit is that it comes with a small UV light that allows you to cure the finish once you apply it to the thread under the tip-top repair work. The kit literally has everything you need.

Nice all in one kit for repairing eyelets on your poles. Took about 20 minutes to do my first repair and it came out just as strong, maybe stronger than the original.
