HPE must have listened. Fan issue no longer an issue!
A coworker of mine ordered the original 1930 24-port PoE switch when they were released and mentioned right away how loud the fan noise was. For context, he had his switch mounted in a rack on the wall in his basement and could hear the fan noise from upstairs in the living room. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering this, but the PoE was something I needed. I actually ordered a noctua fan just to prepare myself to swap out the fan. As soon as I got the switch, I powered it right up and noticed it was DEAD silent. I gave it some time to boot and went through the setup process and it was still very very quiet. I actually had to put my ear next to the exhaust to hear anything. I was shocked! I would guess that HPE had enough complaints about the first version that they fixed the issue by adding an additional fan instead of relying on just one.Overall, things have been great. I would highly recommend!

Perfect for small to medium businesses
I have to say that deploying this set up was delightful. I can’t think of any other term that describes it. I do part time consulting and am a network engineer full time in a data center, but my go to for any and all future SOHO clients in the future will be Aruba. It’s like Meraki without all the licensing BS. If you need advanced networking, you may need to continue to look elsewhere, but this will suite most network deployments that need segmentation. I coupled this unit with a couple of instant on APs and a Fortigate firewall. The cloud app on your pc or phone gives you great insight into what’s happening on the network too, and being able to check settings or change things on the phone app allows for quick resolutions to issues if they arise. All this at a price that’s roughly 1/3-1/4 of what Cisco or Meraki are asking? Yeah, it’s good.

Great product
I am a networking professional. I love (most of) the Instant On product line. It just works and is easy for my clients to understand. The phone app limits the higher functions but for home and SMB, this is perfect.

Nice switch, just a loud fan
Fine working switch,in use with two access points Aruba Instant On AP22 802.11ax 2x2 Wi-Fi 6I have replaced the fan with a Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (40x20mm, Brown)as the OEM-one was too loud for the room. This switch sits in a rack with the door closed and was still audible in the hallway with the doors closed.Replacement was done in 30 minutes. Be aware that the Noctua had not the correct screws for fit in the switch.Aruba has a nice performance and equipment is in stock, unlike Ubiquity,.

Awesome switch
This is a great switch. Mine came with the U.S. power cord but it uses a standard computer power adapter connection so most computer people have those lying around. The switch also was able to discover circular loops in the network topology. The Aruba Instant On software is really good and notifies you if they switch goes off-line due to lack of Internet connection, I’ve paired this with two AP 25s and the five port POE switch which doubled our speeds in the network.

Easy setup
Works great. Easy setup, nice clean GUI. Runs 3 AP’s and 4 POE cameras with power to spare.

Helpful customer service!
I wanted to confirm that the switch was new, that it was authentic, and that inetsupply was an Aruba partner like their web site says. I spoke to both Inetsupply twice and Aruba Networks 3 times and finally got all the information I needed to confirm that yes, they are official Aruba partners. They were helpful during this process which I appreciate a lot.

Good switch for the price
I wasn't looking to spend thousands of dollars for a simple but robust network. These switches filled the need to have POE, a configurable and reliable network, at a less expensive cost. I wouldn't use them in a complex network needing many VLANS and multiple hops, but in a simple network with only 2 or 3 VLANS and single switch connections they are reliable and dependable.

Great value gigabit switch with 10gbps uplinnk
Easy to set up and very fast. Took a bit of mucking around to get VLANs working. Turned out there was a trick to the way you turn on VLANs for the interface and then assign them.Looks great too.
