Artist's Professional 100% Linen Canvas, 86" x 2 Yards Unprimed Folded

I bought it to paint a mural on it. It has held up well so far. We'll see what happens when it gets rained on.

Great linen! Very sturdy and well woven. I have stretched it on stretcher bars without any problems, the linen is very strong.

This canvas is not preferred for use with making paintings that you would want to last, the loose thread count puts undue stress on the primer layer and will start cracking in ten years or so. When priming, the gesso just pushes through to the other side. Not tight enough thread count and strength to be a material that is good enough for any serious painter.

I received the fabric yesterday and looking it over it is a light weave but a sturdy weave. I think people need to understand also if you will read the manufacturers recommendations on what to do i/e using rabbit skin glue as a size. Then one can go in and gesso over the top of it using old-fashioned gesso with no acrylic polymer in it. One could use clear gesso or any other acrylic polymer to as a size and then use regular polymer gesso over it. It has its purposes and I just plan to use it over a sized and sealed wood panel and then gesso over the top of it. Hope that helps clear some confusion for people. This is an old school ground that needs to be prepped in an old-school manner.

This linen does not seem "professional" for artists, the fabric is not tight enoghIf you are going to place paint on it, you will be painting empty spaces...I was expecting higher quality for the price

The linen looks great and I am looking forward to prepping and painting on this surface
