Works Perfectly with Lorex Cameras
Did exactly what I needed it to do. This device will work for home surveillance cameras (Lorex) that use a USB-A to get power to camera. Make sure to use a proper POE switch, run the Ethernet cable to this device, plug in the male USB-A to the female end on the device and wait for your camera to power on.

Remote power for Raspberry Pie
I have a few Raspberry Pi 3B+ units around my how to provide music from a server. These unit works fine and eliminate having to put the Pi's near an outlet for the wall wart. I'm going to get some more for other devices that connect to the network and need power from wall warts.

This is a PoE stripper not splitter
The name and description of this device is misleading. This is a PoE stripper, NOT splitter.I purchased this item to split off PoE power at the end of an ethernet cable that powers a camera. If the description were correct, it would split off 48V to power the 5V DC-DC and pass the 48V power to the next device. This is NOT how this product works. All it takes is one look at the RJ45 plug coming out of the device to see that it is impossible to pass power through this device on ethernet cables (it missing 4 wires). What this product does. It takes power and data into the female RJ45 connector, strips the power, and passes the data to the male RJ45.Please update the description of this product!

Works with Nest Cameras
I've recently setup a new network rack and included a battery backup and PoE 24 port switch. Using these I can now power my Nest cameras on the house just fine and the centralized battery backup for them means I don't need to have a battery backup in each area I want a camera.
