APT, UHMW Polyethylene Tape, Resists Abrasion, Impact, for Surface Protection and Friction and Noise Reduction for Lining Sliding Surfaces. (13mm x 4.6m, 10 Mil UHMW)

Hard to find in the UK. Just what I needed to fix my antique drawers.

This tape was easy to apply and works perfectly to make drawers move easily. I will be buying more of this stuff!

This is so good I would say it glides like a slug on ice perfecy for 99% of items that you dont want any friction to be a problem One thing is that its not cheap.

The tape was not cut straight, so as you removed it from the roll it was wavy.Also only 6.5m long though advertised at 10m. Have not got enough to complete my project but will not be ordering from this supplier again.

I bought this to use on a number of projects in a campervan conversion and it's brilliant. So far, I've used it on sliding cupboard doors and runners for drawers at floor level and it's worked like a dream. Next job is the folding bed/settee mechanism (but I haven't finished building it yet). It's lighter and takes up much less space than conventional drawer runners, so, basically, anywhere there will be wood on wood movement, a strip of this on each side and the job's done.

I used this on my car to stop the rubber round the windows from squeaking and crunching against the frame. It worked brilliantly for about 2 weeks and not sure if weather related as in worn away not as effect as got dirtier or just not the highest quality as cheap compared to other same tapes but the squeaks are back in full force ☹ ive got some left so going try it again though and see.

I have been making a variety of jigs for routing and woodworking and have found this gives just that extra bit of slip to make a wooden piece work better.

I used this tape on some wooden furniture. One strip along the runner and the drawer sides beautifully.
