Be Mindful Solid Wood Sandbox for Outdoor Play (Extra Large)

This would have been great if it had a bottom. When I move this for winter to the front yard and away from the pool area, I am going to lose a lot of sand. Crappy little piece of cloth is all you get for a bottom. Definitely need a cover to keep out the rain and will be getting a bottom for it.

Easy to put together! Love the size and the seats!! Perfect for my son. I ended up stapling the bottom tarp on since our patio is uneven and I didn’t want sand to fall out the bottom. Also, I had to add a piece of wood to one of the sides that covers the sandbox- the sides don’t touch, there is a big gap and larger animals can’t get in but mice and other small animals could.

This sandbox was easy enough to put together. Some of the screws provided stripped so we just bought our own. The lid doesn’t match up when closed so there is about a two inch gap that is totally exposed. The black fabric provided didn’t keep weeds and bugs out at all. It’s big enough for one or two smaller kids. The benches seem sturdy enough but the doors are very flimsy. It’s not water resistant at all. We’ve had it set up for less than six months and it’s already looking rough. I’m not sure if it will make it to next summer.

Our kids love this, it’s sturdy and the built in cover is great. Our only complaint is the wood around some of the pre drilled holes was brittle and snapped off just from opening and closing the lid. Hasn’t impacted usability, just aesthetics.

Not very sturdy
