Beautifully made, and a great support
Sold by Sycotek, and manufactured by a sports company (Boer Sports) for the protection of athletes from sports injury, I thought I’d give this knee brace a go because it says it is breathable, and is perfect for joint pain relief, and arthritis. It also says it’s for stabilising and aiding the recovery of knee injuries so, although I haven’t actually injured my knee (as such), I thought it might offer comfort to my very painful right knee (which probably needs replacing). Occasionally, when out walking my dog, my knee ‘gives’ and I’m afraid I’ll fall over one of these days. My left knee is also painful, but not as much so as my right knee. I suspect the pain has been caused by wear and tear over the years, due to my age - but it could also be the result of many hours spent standing up ringing church bells continuously for over three hours at a time - for the past 30 years. Bell ringing has also caused wear and tear of my spine and hips. All campanologists know they should move their legs from time to time when ringing a peal, but concentration meant that I tended to stand still with most of my weight on my right leg and, after 3+ hours, I could barely move. Another cause of my pain is probably arthritis.I tried a different type of knee support a couple of months ago and whilst it is very good, it is quite different. That one came in S/M/L and is a pull up compression type of sleeve support, which is not as firm and supportive as this knee brace. The Boer brace comes in one size, is suitable for both men and women, and is adjustable by means of three Velcro straps around the upper shin, the knee, and the lower thigh. One, two, or all of the straps can be adjusted for comfort, during wear if necessary. The brace offers light support, by means of compression, for minor pain from sprains, as well as moderate support by compression for muscle strain, thereby aiding recovery while not having to give up sporting activities in the meantime. But it goes even further, in that it can be worn to give support and allow the healing of pulled ligaments and unstable joints. This brace can be worn on either knee. It is extremely well made from neoprene, which is comfortable, and warm to wear - whilst not being too warm that it makes the skin sweat. For me, this is good because I feel the most pain at night time, often being woken up by it and then being unable to get to sleep again. It offers me comfort and support, and is not too hot under the duvet. Furthermore, it does not slip and slide as I move around during sleep. Although the three straps hold the brace in place, it is further secured by two wavy rows of silicone on the insides of the top and bottom edges (like stay-up stockings). The knee area is also well padded for comfort, with an open knee cap design. The Velcro fastenings are almost too strong for my (arthritic?) fingers, but at least the brace stays in place and does not work itself undone during the night. I wear this brace on my right knee at night and, when necessary I wear the other one on my left knee as well.[...] THANK YOU.

Very good quality
Very high quality Patella Support.Since I run 5 miles one way from office to home on the pavement, I was told by my GP its not good for knees and its better to use protection. I already felt a bit of pain around that area. Its really comfortable, Very light, super light, and its breathable. You will forget wearing it in a minute. Its perfectly sit tightly below the kneecap, providing full support against the pressure on knees. The strap is very easily adjustable and its fixed strongly.I would definitely recommend it to anyone doing any exercise that put pressure on knees.

Excellent support, nice materials and construction
When I compare this to the other brace we have it's clear that having a sports brace is the way to go, even when you're not doing sports. Rather than just offering a bit of light compression, this has three adjustable straps to dial in the level of support and keep it firmly in place. It's easily fitted and removed, the materials feel top notch, and it gives proper support to the knee. The ergonomics are spot on. Excellent product, a real step up from simpler compression bandages and braces.
