8020, 1010, 10 Series 1 Inch x 1 Inch T-Slotted Aluminum Extrusion DIY Extruded Linear Slot Bar Rail 80/20 (Clear Anodize, 89" Long)

This will be part of a model rocket launch rail setup. The finish is nice and smooth so the rockets should slide smoothly as they launch. Very nice quality.

I call this 8020 T-slot aluminum extrusion the "engineer's Erector set'! This member is strong, yet light weight anodized aluminum which makes it attractive and weatherproof. I am planning on using this over my small deck outside our bedroom. I will use this as framework for over the porch, sliding plexiglass panels in the slots, making an effective greenhouse. I plan on designing a vent in the system to exhaust the heat in the summer.

It is as easy to cut and assemble as seen on social media. The pieces were all perfectly straight and the outside dimensions appeared to be exactly 1”. Worked out perfect for making pull out drying racks in a large laundry cabinet.

Used this for a rocket launcher, I know most ppl don't use this for that reason, but works perfect. Extruded aluminum makes it very durable and rust free.

I've spent thousands on their aluminum extrusions and don't regret it. Their quality has always been a gold standard. I do try to look for their bargains like a precut bundle, or a client return, I may have bought some odd colors or lengths but always knew in advance. The value (discount?) was worth it. They have a no BS shipping policy, buy items together and the shipping per unit drops dramatically. Packaging is professional and I've only had a single damaged delivery when the UPS driver must have had a really bad day. Their price on the accessory parts... fasteners, hinges and such does disappoint me and I sometimes buy competition. But if I really need to depend on the assembly I buy theirs. Have purchased the 1.5"x1.5"x72" and now the 1"x1"x60". Using these to build cargo carrier supports for a Dodge van. These bars are light and super strong. Slots make them extremely versatile. Figuring out the correct hardware to use with these bars can be challenging but can be done with a bit of effort. Pricing isn't overly expensive UNTIL you add in shipping cost. Make sure to place a single order for everything that you need from 80/20 so that shipping cost is ALMOST acceptable (expect long delivery time). Pricing for the End Caps is crazy expensive. Best to look online for cap alternatives IMO.
