Nice texture, good paper.
Loved the paper quality. I was able to layer with not much buckling. Did come a little bent but that’s easily fixable and probably just because of the courier 😭 Good absorbency! True to size and it’s a light off-white colour. Low-medium tooth. :)

Never had a single problem. No matter what medium.
I LOVE these sketchbooks and papers from Cansen , I followed others advice and tries this brand for both my watercolour and mixes media work and it's brilliant paper. Never a single burr or tear or anything that was disturb your paint etc. It's always a good price and always takes whatever I throw at it, which is a LOT!! Highly recommend. And tried many of the Cansen papets now and all have been good. The texture is just right as well. A tad toothy but not too much. Perfect.

Good for price
This watercolour paper works very well for me in A5 size Full A5 painting area lets me work wet on wet loose style with very little paper buckeling. With 20 sheets a pad that’s plenty for a weeks holiday and the cheaper price is a bonus My Cotman and Bockingford are preferable but I will take this when travelling. Good product.

Hands down best practice watercolor book
As a full time artist finding affordable paper to practice on and not get upset at wasting a page if it goes wrong is very important. This paper even though its not cotton is really very good, it has a good amount of absorbency, it does not warp easily and can handle a good amount of wet on wet. The downside to this paper is that when the colors dry it lightens it with a slightly ashy look to it, also that whenever you put paint to the paper it dries extremely fast which is not great as it makes it hard to work with. However I still love this paper as it is excellent value for what you get and I am on my 5th pad now.

Usual high quality
I love this paper, which doesn't absorb too much water from the paint. Results in a very controllable process.

Found paper that works for me. I Love it Thank you
Found paper that works for me. I Love it Thank you Nice watercolour paper for effects, also takes off paint after even quite a long time of drying. I am very pleased and will buy this paper again.

One of the best cheap aquarelle papers I have tried.
This is very inexpensive cellulose watercolour paper that was bought out of curiosity. I believe anything this cheap could be useful to students, beginners and for any painter wanting to experiment with sketching, mark-making, colour-mixing and swatching without breaking the bank. ( I think nothing inhibits creativity more than the pressure not to "spoil" an expensive sheet of paper.) I have tried many kinds and this is one of the better ones. Although it says cold-pressed it would be better described as matte since it far less textured than the usual CP. This makes it easy to get down a clean ink or pencil line. It is hard sized so copes with erasing but ink takes a while to dry. It copes with wet washes well without distorting and line and wash comes out well. The downside is that it is a cream colour which mutes colour intensity and, whilst the whole pad is A4, each removed sheet is rather smaller. In common with all cheap cellulose papers it doesn't do well with glazing, lifting or wet in wet techniques and will overwork easily. It obviously does not compare with rag paper but I liked the surface and sizing. I think that everyone who paints might find this pad useful for the play and experimentation one needs to do to hone ones skill.

My staple now on
Can not fault anything. Great textures, quality, hardness. The teared perforations are a massive bonus

Paper quality matters. I’m working on my control of how much water I use when painting as a beginner, and this paper has given me much needed grace by being durable. There’s minimal curling and 140lbs is the perfect weight for not only beginners but I assume experienced folks as well. I did a 30 day challenge and kept the work in sequence my having it bound and perforated. I will be ordering again in multiple sizes!

A good quality paper, smooth and thick. I use it for small paintings using gouache, and like this paper the best.
