Works with OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3
I'm using this for a second external monitor on my Early 2011 MacBook Pro, 2.2 GHz Core i7 running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3. My setup utilizes the laptop display, a 22" Viewsonic LCD display plugged into the Thunderbolt port, and a 17" Dell LCD connected with the NewTech USB to HD Adapter to a free USB port on my MBP.It works well for hooking up a secondary display that doesn't require full screen video playback. I use the NewerTech connected display for email, IM, and second browser window and my other displays as my primary work area. It handles playback of YouTube videos in the small or large player format but not in full screen. I'm not a gamer so I can't give empirical feedback on its suitability but I'd assume since it can't play full screen YouTube videos that it wouldn't do well for gaming either.

Perfect for adding a third or fourth monitor to a computer.
We initially bought these for Mac at the office and after the performed with little more than a plug and play, we bought them for our PC's too. Still, plug and play!I'm ordering two because I want a third monitor for my house and the other is for my father-in-law. All he'll have to do is plug it in and he won't have to worry about opening his computer and installing a new network card. Much easier for him to just use this!Every one we've bought had performed flawlessly!

Using for 3rd monitor on ProPresenter
We are using this device for driving the stage monitor for ProPresenter. We had a few compatibility issues the first week as nVidia was releasing some updates and so was Win 7, and were getting some freezing problems. Now those are resolved and this unit performs flawlessly. One hint- plug the unit in the back of you computer rather than the front ports. And in ProPresenter, if it shows on the main screen, click-n-drag it over to the 3 display. This took us a moment to figure out.

The only that works without a powered hub on Mac minis
The newer tech is the only USB display adapter I have been able to use with the Mac minis. It works for propresenters stage display. We then run the signal into a DVDO wireless hdmi adapter and now have a portable stage display/confidence monitor.

Great productivity tool!
I got this for my work Mac Book Air (summer 2012 version). I had two 19" Dell monitors that I wanted to utilize. The company website was easy to navigate and find the current drivers, since my MBA obviously doesn't have a drive for the included CD. The refresh rate is fast enough to not notice any significant delays when typing, but I do notice a slight delay for any type of video/flash...so I wouldn't use the extra display for that. For any MS Office or database type of work where you need extra real estate, this adapter should be great. Also, the price was reasonable compared to other devices that I've seen out there.*I'm no graphic designer so I'm also not going to vouch for color accuracy...it's close enough for me.
