Simple Kind To Eyes Soothing Eye Balm 15 ml

I ordered the triple pack of this eye balm after having tried the Simple rollerball eye gel which was quite nice but I wanted something more moisturizing. This eye balm fits the bill totally. As with all Simple skincare products, it's unscented and seems to be free from many of the artificial additives many far more expensive creams contain (which can be irritating, in some cases, i.e. on my skin!), which is good to know. This balm is light but very effective. It's not greasy or heavy and, as another reviewer has noted, it seems to melt on, and into, the skin quickly and on my skin it doesn't leave a tacky, heavy feel which many other creams / balms can do. Also, a little does go a long way so there's no need to use massive blobs of it - just a little is enough to use around both eyes (and I also sometimes dab a little into skin on other parts of my face, such as my forehead (where I don't have big wrinkles - and I don't anywhere on my face yet - but I do have a few of the horizontal lines that everyone gets at some point, even though mine aren't too bad!). I use this balm almost every day and am still on the first tube of it so it's very cost effective as well as being very effective in doing what it's supposed to do! I love it.The Simple rollerball eye gel I've found is not as effective at moisturising but is more I think intended to cool and refresh the eye area, much like the elderflower eye gel from a well-known High Street skincare shop that sells relatively natural skincare products (and that elderflower eye gel I used to use all the time when I was a bit younger but haven't used for ages as it never actually moisturised particularly well - just refreshed the eye area - and it costs far more than this more effective eye balm and rollerball eye gel cost!).

I love this eye balm. It's very light and consistent and so easy to apply. It melts on your finger like butter so you don't have to rub it very much over the eye area - which is something you want to avoid doing as much as possible. It's very hydrating to my dry eye area and applying it once in the morning means I have nice and soft skin for the whole day - no matter what the weather! One tube lasts a long time because you don't need to use much (even a little bit of it effortlessly glides all over the eye area and spreads so easily) - I only need to use about a centimetre strip of cream each time and I manage to cover both eye areas (up to brow bone and down to the cheekbone) and I only need to use it once after cleansing in the morning because the moisturising effect lasts all day for me. I have definitely noticed a reduction in my dark circles and under-eye puffiness. One tube has lasted me months of once-a-day use and it's such a good price!

Bought this for my (type 2) diabetic husband who suffers with itchy skin round his eyes especially in warm weather and he finds this very soothing and beneficial and his eyes feel less tired after using it. However after beginning use of this product we realised that my husband's diabetes means that he should have checked first that it is suitable for him to use. He therefore stopped using it and I contacted Simple Skin Care first twice on Twitter and then a further three times on Facebook before receiving any response. Since this time I've been corresponding with them and they will not answer my query unless I telephone them or send them my private e-mail address which I find rather strange. All such manufacturers (and of course Lever, who own Simple Skin Care, is a big company so will be a prime example of this) test products (such as skin, medical and food) rigorously and give warnings on their packaging or leaflet insert if the product is unsuitable for certain people and of course diabetes is an extremely common condition so would be an obvious group to include. Therefore Lever should be able to provide advice, particularly as they offer no guidance on their packaging and there is no leaflet insert. It took me quite some time to find a suitable product for my husband's eyelids however he is now effectively unable to use it any further.

my eyes and i have treid a lot of creams but this one is so light and you dont fell it on your face
