Kuretake have created an ink of pure delight to use.
Divine! This is an odd ink - it's rather on the thick side. Not as thick as WN gold is said to be, perhaps, but a good deal thicker than my thickest "normal" ink.BUT - it flows off a dip nib beautifully!I'll also note - I don't know if I needed to but I found a little-fingernail sized clean rounded river pebble... and put it in the bottle to help mix the ink during shaking - works very well. The colour laid down is rich and sparkly, the thickness gives it a palpable texture on the page -- just how did they get it thick AND flowing nicely? It has some interesting characteristics with water (in use, after it dries it's untouchable with water but for a teeny bit of surface particles moving).I tried it on a water-washed page and a blob of water:Wash page - the ink flows into the page, not anywhere near as much as "normal" ink, no blooms and back-washes. The sparkle is diminished from the full 100% of the full ink to some 40%... the gold colour is muted a tiny bit.Water blob - the ink flows into it. Again, not as much as "normal ink" (which fills the water blob and colours it), it seems to only colour the local point of contact with little movement into the rest of the blob (odd). When the blob dries the sparkle is almost gone, maybe some 10% sparkly; the colour is duller and muted.NB - these are NOT complaints, they are just observations that might help a prospective user.In general use, inking, nib, brush - absolutely wondrous to use. Kuretake have created an ink of pure delight.

Brilliant indeed
The media could not be loaded. Good coverage, very!!!!even spreading. No colour change after drying. You can not wash back after dried, set solid. Pleasant warm tone, not too yellow or copper. I am deligthed wirh this purchase, thank you!

This ink is lovely
I have used this ink on midnight blue paper and it looks lovely. It needs a really good stir frequently to keep the consistency right (which is the same for all similar products). Would recommend. Delivery took about 6 weeks to arrive (typhoon in Japan) but the company was very quick to respond to my query and very courteous. Recommended.

Love it.
Different colour from the Windsor and Newton’s gold, brighter. Applies evenly and smoothly, and I love the flea to help with mixing as it is by nature a bit lumpy. Lush product.

Just what I needed
Great for using on parchment but check there is no sediment in the bottom of the bottle I used a drinks stirrer to make sure it was well mixed.
