Salad leaves popped up in 3 days!
Great quality, feels robust. Small grow trays but perfect for starting off herbs and small amounts of other crops. I have salad leaves, coriander and spinach in mine at the moment. Salad came up in three days and the spinach in 6. Easy to use. Lead is just long enough to reach from my window sill to the plug socket but worth checking the length before you buy. Doesn't feel especially warm to touch but the condensation tells me that it's working. Soil temp is definitely good for germination. Capillary matting is keeping soil very moist. Overall extremely pleased and considering buying another. Much better value for money than the unheated version which is only three pounds cheaper.

A great little electric Propagator
I bought the propagator after having years of poor germination from placing pots in a windowsill. This propagator takes all the hard work out of propagation and achieved 100% success on tomatoes and cucumbers. Size is ideal for anyone without a large greenhouse. The base is an appropriate size so that trays can be swopped for smaller or larger trays, bought separately, depending on plants being germinated. Excellent product.

Fantastic product 👍🏻
This product is extremely well built and within a week the pepper seeds that I’d sown were popping their heads through perfectly moistened compost. The use of a capillary mat ensures just the right amount of water for the seed. Absolute game changer .

Works as stated, seems robust.
Used this in sprint to get a head start with my vegetables and it worked well. I found the self watering matting too agressive and stopped using it, perhaps I should cut it into a few smaller strips. Of course the temperature is not super high but as I put this on a window I opted to use an external thermostat to control the temperature. Feels robust and was easy to clean. Size good for a window and also for the shelving in the greenhouse. I think this is good Value and I also used it with some other propogation trays.

Well made
Very well made (in England apparently) so have no worries about the electrics. Works well and looks quite neat on the window sill.

A good wee investment if you enjoy gardening.
I bought marigold seeds to try out the electric propagator and within 4 days the seeds began to emerge through the compost have grown marigold seeds before without much success after this was purchased (via a gift) I was pleased that the seeds had germinated. I don't use the propagator during the day on my windowsill as there is adequate heat in my home then. I don't switch it on until early evening for 2 hours but keep the vents open to circulate the heat between the compost and seed (don't over soak your seeds whatever variety you intend sowing as they won't germinate otherwise). Another thing I had to do was to keep an eye on the covers as these have condensation on them once the heat builds up (it's not a tremendous amount of heat it's just enough for the seeds to germinate and to mimic spring temperature's). The covers must be dried off and I leave them off over night then place them back on to the propagator the following day to circulate air around the individual seeds The unit comes with a capillary mat which you can add adequate water of 1.4 litres which states in the instruction booklet or you can use a little water to your compost (don't over do it otherwise the seeds won't germinate ). The bonus about the unit is your giving your seeds a head start while you are waiting on the air/ soil temperature rising outside. You can also use this to grow cuttings as well as use it with your own plastic pots for your plants for cuttings or seeds, I was pleased I had success with the marigold seeds and plan to use the unit to propagate lobelia seeds (which are like specks of dust and take awhile to grow and having a heated propagator will give them a start for my garden. A good wee investment if you enjoy gardening.

Exactly to plan
Good propagator easy to use. Might have got 5 stars if I had been using it longer. Quality seems fine.
