So, in gravity drop mode it's rare any cars (official HW including the one that comes with the set) will make it around the loop - usually the cars just come off the track.In drag mode the launchers are laughably bad - smack the lever and the cars fly out of the launches and through the air, it's near impossible to keep them on the track if you want to get anywhere enough speed to make complete the loop or make the end of the track.The finish gate works well if any cars make it the finish, it uses elastic bands to allow the slightest tap to ping the number of the track of winning car was on into the viewing window.So… is it terrible? Yes. But… I would still recommend it if you are looking for some HW plastic track based fun - it's fun to try all your cars and try to find some that actually manage to do the track. If your plan is to competitively race with your kids (or them in their own) then you are out of luck. But hurling metal cars around the room is still a lot of fun.

Christmas present for 6 year old boy, went down well. Love how the track all fits back into one crate so great for storing when not in use. Two different tracks can be created and it’s a great starter hot wheels set for any car racing fans. My son can spend hours playing with this racing his cars so this was a great purchase, especially at the price (£41).

Bought for my 10 year old son who loves everything to do with Hotwheels. This is a fun race set that can be added to other sets. Would recommend.

Bought as a birthday present. He loved it. As if folds up into a crate, he can take with him when whenever he wants to.

Spent a couple of hundred on various add ons battery booster packs are weak and just about boost cars horizontally not chance vertically the track has two sizes that stop the cars from completing circuts if you mix them up. The hotwheels cars are not a standard weight or sizes and only some will smoothly run down the ramp setup successfully plus you have to build a platform to increase the speed of the cars with the extra gravity assist but then the child has to stand on a chair to reach the top of the ramp.

Bought for a 6 year old. Very vesatile easy to assemble onve you got the knack and easy to take down and transport
