Decent read but a bit wordy.
Enjoyed the book, great characters coupled with an interesting plot but just a bit wordy for me.Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of Travis Devine.

An old fashioned whodunnit
Im not sure where to start on this one. Many things were as I had come to expect from this author. The standard list of characters; The corrupt business tycoon, his hired henchmen and disloyal moll. The sketchy housemate who’s not what she seems. Haggard and disillusioned city cops who don’t seem to have much idea what to do or how to do it. The pizza munching, beer swilling Russian hacker. The pretty, whitty, sexy and seemingly aloof housemate who brings the potential love interest. The swarthy retired general heading up the clandestine government division that’s so deep underground even the earthworms are looking down at it. Finally, flitting between them all, our hero of the hour - the tarnished war veteran and reluctant hero. All likeable in their own way and solid fodder for people like me. The plot was actually ok but tended to get a bit bogged down at times. I just can’t help but feel cheated by the reveal. I don’t mind being lead down dead ends and losing sight of who is wearing black or white hats. Being sidetracked by a pointer that swings one way then the other to That makes a plot interesting. But once the truth came out I just thought “oh for goodness sake!” What a let down.

Wonderful plot, keeps you guessing
Really involved and convoluted plot, with many unexpected twistsand turns. Writing could have been a little sharper, felt there were unnecessary padding or filling. But enjoyable.

Easy to read Crime Thriller with a twist
Easy to read crime triller. Ex Military Devine becomes undercover spy with a bit of financial aspects. 6.20 relates to a train which you come to understand why it is needed. Good read. Will get the next one in the series

Exciting
It had been ages since I had read a baldacci book and had forgotten how brilliant tells a story unusual and different great character and I'm sure it won't be the end of the 6.20 man

excellent
Devine is an interesting character and the story is well paced right to the end when it does a 180 and turns the world upside down, not entirely sure the ends were tied up satisfactorily but it was a good yarn

Terrific Read
This was the first book I had read of David Baldacci and I can say that this is a great read. After finishing this book I have now purchased 4 more of the authors books and each one has been excellent.
