Do these chip easily, or are they pretty durable?

I just got a Sat from a different seller and one was already chipped and can't find a single replacement. They do seem like they would chip easily, even in the dishwasher so I'd be gentle

Do the bowls get hot when reheatimg food in the microwave?

The bowl itself won t get hot. The microwave works on water molecules so the food will get hot first. Then the heat from the food will be transferred to the plate. I d say it depends how much food you put in the plate, if there is a lot of water and how long you ll leave the plate on for heating.
