Very pleased. Within 24 hours got a pint of Kefir and third batch brewing now. We are fortunate to have an Aga which puts out heat 24/7. So putting the jar near it keeps it warm. I think temperature is important for regulating how long the Kefir takes to make. The cooler it is the longer it takes. The Aga costs a couple of quid a day to run, so getting it to help with Kefir goes some way towards helping the cost.Our Kefir separated slightly, so poured off clear liquid. Then sieved it to get the grains back. The end result was very tasty. Grains go into fresh milk and off it goes again.Obviously the grains will grow over time, so you'll have some to give away eventually. I appreciate it that this seller isn't trying to rip people off, very fair price.

The kefir grains are good quality and work well. The instructions are clear and detailed. However the product is expensive.

Sorry to lave a bad review of this product. I ordered the smaller amount, but when the bag eventually arrived, it had practically no kefir grains inside - it was mostly milky, containing maybe 3 or 4 very small grains? picture is attached This is insufficient to anything with. I tried, but with so few grains, you end up with sour milk and not kefir. Expanding or breeding them takes buying a lot of milk, and for me eventually failed altogether.Decided to leave a refund request on Amazon. But the reply from supplier "Hello, perhaps you should buy 10g of grains rather than 5, with that small amount it will take longer, regards" The supplier did not deal with the fact that Id received practically none of the advertised product. As you can see the packaging is also completely different from the picture, (it's as if it was put together in someones kitchen).As I was unable to return a product that been opened - the money has never been refunded so far.

On the surface these grains appear expensive, but when you think of how many small bottles of commercial/supermarket kefir you could buy for the same money; not many, and as the grains grow really well it’s not long before you get that money back and then you have only the expense of whichever medium you use and the convenience of having kefir always on hand. I’m delighted with mine, which have tripled in as many days.

Although the sample was small it work alright after 36 hours of culture. The material was good and taste good

Grains were fresh and most definitely alive and first batch didn't take long. We are new to home kefir making but was easy. Lovely that they sent instructions too.If we ever let our grains die by mistake I'll certainly buy from again.P.S. go for goats 🐐 🥛 it's nicer.

For the price was very disappointed with the size & quantity of the kefir grains. Bag contained mostly liquid with very few grains-which were mostly pin head sized .

It's clear that less than favourable reviews are not being posted.My previous review did not feature feedback about the seller, more about the small amount of product sent which is not good value for money.I received 4 tiny grains around the size of rice. I'm a week forwards constantly feeding and changing the milk daily and still not able to make kefir, I may be able to in some time down the line.I wouldn't recommend getting this as I wouldnt even say I got half a gram of the product.Don't waste your money on buying it. I threw mine in the bin eventually and have sourced some from a lovely kind local person after weeks of persevering with this product.
