Rapunzel: A Push, Pull, Slide Book (Campbell First Stories)

The book is good for learning to read and is appealing to younger children with the colourful pictures and moving people/objects that keep them interested

A lovely book for young children. It’s fairly short but has interesting flaps and pulls for children to play with whilst reading it.

My granddaughter loves this book it has movable bit suitable for perhaps a 3 year old

I got this for my daughter who is two in a few months. It is such a lovely, well illustrated book and the push and slide parts add plenty of interest. You can slide part on the front to lower Rapunzels hair, slide a part of a page to show the witch taking baby Rapunzel, make the witch go up and down the tower, slide part of a page to show the hair being cut and the prince falling down the tower and on the last page make Rapuzel run to the Prince's arms.My daughter just loved it and was very keen to do the pushing and sliding and this was fine whilst I was reading it to her and helping her. When she got her hands on it and was looking at it herself, all seemed well, but moments later some of the moving parts had been removed and torn. I should have kept it out of reach when I was not holding it and reading it to her myself; thicker board books with no moving features last longer if you want your 1-2 year old to be able to hold it and turn the pages themselves. Her other board books like the "That's Not My ..." books have been far more durable for that purpose.The illustrations are bright and full of things to look at and identify. The last page particularly was good for her to practice some words and point things out like birds, tower, trees, house, princess, prince, ducks, butterfly, rabbits, rainbow, castle and more! Fortunately this last page has survived and is still holding her interest for a good few minutes!

Bought as a present a nice little book

Little one is a big fan of those books. Will buy more. Nice and sturdy pages, really durable.

Lovley book for my 3 year old grandaughter

It's OK. I purchased this for my 4 year old. It is very well built and good quality. The only massive disappointment is the book is far too short! It only has 4 pages to read, so it's not much use as a bedtime story. But it's more fun for the child to play with instead.
