Again, yes I'm a grown and no I am not sad. I enjoy and appreciate things that bring me back to the feelings of joy from my childhood.So, I know this is the figure of a character that is new to the Star Wars universe having featured in the latest film Rogue One but to a hardened Star Wars fan who was there with wide eyes in 1977 the Death Troopers looked and felt like Star Wars. As in my other review for the Rey figure I have to say this. Every penny I worked for, scrimped and saved as a kid was happily spent on the original small Star Wars figures. Back in the day they were 99p. The equivalent small figures for the new films are roughly £10 when first released. Now considering I have 12 of these big figs I have either bought myself or been given as presents by my own kids with prices ranging from £7 to £20 this is what I think. Taking into consideration the price of £13.99 (at time of this review), the size of the figure (19 inches), the quality of and the detailing of the figure this is an absolutely amazing product. As with the other big figs it has 7 points of articulation. There is a black glossy finish to the armour as in the film and with both a blaster pistol and a large imposing rifle this character is well accessorised. There are the right touches of green to the helmet making this character figure another great representation of the real character. In Rogue One the Death Troopers were taller than your standard Stormtroopers and had this dark, ninja like assassin aura about them. Out of the packaging that is what this figure looks like. It's menacing and it is very cool.As in my Rey review, Jakks Pacific could have taken advantage of the Star Wars brand and got away with charging much more for these figures but what they have done instead is produced nice looking, good quality, appealing figures at unbelievably low prices. People like me collect these because they are reminded of their childhood and simply get a kick out of having cool things around their home, others collect them and don't even dare breath on them and then kids have the untethered joy of playing with them as toys. For whatever reason, these figures are great and the Death Trooper is an immediate winner. As a fan and an adult I really appreciate what this and the other figures are. If I had them when I was a kid I would have constantly been on a high like I was being pumped 24 hours a day with high energy drinks. You just have to look through other ranges of toys to see how manufacturers take advantage of demand by charging high prices to maximise profit. When you can pick up big figures like this for such low prices you know Jakks think about the customer.
