Smooth and tasty without being too bitter - exactly what you want from coffee beans. Good crema too.

Not fresh enough
I ordered as I used to like cafe direct coffee (when they used to print roast date on the bag), unfortunately they've stopped doing this and it's rare to get there coffee while it's still relatively fresh.I ordered this hoping to get a bulk of coffee roasted within the last few weeks or a month. Sadly it's clearly way older than that. It can taste okay as an aetopress brew, but as espresso it's almost impossible to form a decent Creme (using a decent and reliable grinder and machine pairing).If you're buying to use in aetopress or pour over it's okay, but nothing more.Shame, I won't be ordering again.

You get what you pay for
This is a really good, full bodied and well-rounded coffee bean. I like my coffee to pack a punch and this one doesn’t disappoint. The smell of it brewing in the kitchen is also joyful!I finely grind the beans and use them in a stove top espresso pot which gives me the flavour I’m after. I have used them (slightly coarser grind) in a cafetière but that doesn’t give me quite the kick I’m aiming for (more to my wife’s taste).The only slight negative I can bring to mind is their price tag - they’re not a cheap bean but the additional 25% cost is worth it, in my opinion.

Dreadful
Fruity, lightweight, bitter.This is not coffee.It doesn’t taste of coffee it’s more like a fruit cup.It’s horrible.It’s in the bin.

OK coffee but don't buy from amazon, it's months old.
The best before end date was only 5 months away. Sadly these don't have a roasted on date but given best before dates are always listed at minimum of 12 months means this was roasted a good 5 months ago. And it tasted like it. (It was sold and delivered by amazon, not a third party seller)

As a coffee fanatic this was absolutely disgusting-smells and tastes burnt which is a shame considering the other products from this brand are very nice.
