I lived on the Genoa Ligure where the pesto sauce originally came from and it is still very much, part of regional dish for that area, so there are many people who make their own family made pesto sauce and I have tried several homemade ones which were beautiful. In comparison to Barilla, Sacla etc... The homemade ones are superior, but Barilla Pesto sauce is not far behind. I prefer the Barillo more than the Sacla which is also another Italian made manufacturer of Pesto sauce and others.
