Raindrop Cake Molecular Gastronomy Jelly Kit - Includes Silicon mold, agar, dark brown sugar, kinako, wooden boats

Fun kit. Really had fun making these with my girlfriend. My only issue was the price. It was just a little high for how much ingredients you get. Other than that the quality of the ingredients was good and the instructions were straightforward. We did a peanut butter and jelly verison that we saw on bon appetit.

I can see this being a product more so for children and teaching them to cook and do a fun activity. The actual recipe itself wasn't very tasty and was surprised, unlike most raindrop recipes, didn't include sugar to make the recipe sweet.And it was my own fault for not realizing that the boats were not re-usable and felt like they were wasteful after you throw them after one use. It would have been nice to get ones you can clean off instead.

Okay. So this was kind of fun to make, but the end product was meh. The syrup you make was tasty but my six year old refused to try the rain drop part- which is basically like gelatin water. So I think for most people this is just kind of weird and we would be fun as in look at the weird stuff I just made. But not sure about actually eating it unless bribes of real cake were involved

Good for starter to see if you want to make more. Didn't care for kinako - very bland. Would like to try more ways such as adding hint of flavor, color, etc. Definitely a unique dessert for guests.

I forgot to take a picture. Sorry.I was let down. It doesn’t set up like it shows & add I’m a beginner. Didn’t look like the picture portrayed.I followed the directions. I wasn’t in a hurry. Unless, somebody knows a trick to do it. I’d love to know tips/tricks.

It was fun to do as a couple, and even funnier to taste! It’s an experience, not an enjoyable dessert to taste.

The family and I just tried making a batch this weekend. After messing up the first batch, I'm pretty sure we got it right. The kids got a huge kick out of "eating water". Great little starter kit. Will definitely be making more raindrop cakes in the future!

I bought this kit to make with my daughter and nieces. We had fun making it and the tasted very strange (we added sprinkles and fruit to a few). My nieces liked the plain raindrop cake.
