How is this eco-friendly when each stick is wrapped in plastic and comes with its own plastic container to store it in?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, Jamie's response isn't at all true.

Our claims are 100% true. The miswak stick is 100% biodegradable and is far more environmentally friendly than bamboo or other supposedly eco-friendly toothbrushes which use synthetic bristles.

Firstly, we use no machinery to cut the product into size saving power and energy unlike other toothbrushes as these sticks are RAW and natural.

Secondly, this stick is both a toothbrush AND toothpaste so immediately the amount of plastic used dramatically decreases using our product. With bamboo and other eco-friendly toothbrushes you still need to use toothpaste/charcoal which come packaged in plastic or metal containers which produce a lot more toxic waste than our plastic vacuum-packaging film which itself is recyclable.

Finally, the plastic cases aren't to be purchased repeatedly - they have to be re-used every single month so they are in fact very eco-friendly. We cannot use glass because if the glass shatters in somebody's pocket or handbag it could cause serious injury. When you finish your Starter Pack you should buy the Refill Pack of 2 which contains only the vacuum-packed miswak sticks. You would then place these in the RE-USABLE holders which last over 10 years. Yes the sticks are vacuum-packed in plastic recyclable film but there is no way of keeping these sticks fresh and SAFE for use in Europe without using plastic vacuum-packed film. Remember these sticks are grown in Pakistan so we must ensure our customers are safe when using the product all over the world and there is no suitable material for doing this currently. We will not risk harming our customers using materials which we have not tried or test but please be assured we are always looking at ways to avoid the use of plastic.

You will not find a more environmentally friendly and reliable teeth cleaning and teeth whitening aid than The Organic Toothbrush.

When should i store the organic toothbrush inside the holder? i am new to this product.

Always - this is a must! The specially designed Holder has a hole on the lid to make the case breathable for the Miswak inside. Just enough air will be let into the Holder case to keep the toothbrushes in good condition. The Holder case also makes the toothbrush portable and allows protection from germs so please always remember to put the Organic Toothbrush back into the Holder. Each toothbrush will have its own Holder case unlike the vast majority of Miswaks found elsewhere

They are wrapped in vacuum-packed plastic - there is no other material which will keep the sticks fresh. Unlike other toothbrushes including bamboo toothbrushes which have synthetic bristles, the toothbrush itself is biodegradable. They are stored in the 2 plastic holders which are re-used every time you buy new sticks so they do not damage the environment because you are expected to keep these holders for years to come.
