The author of this book presents some very strong options about the quality of components generically grouped as “Chinese” without offering solid backing rather than anecdotal incidents. It’s fair to say the one needs to aware of quality issues when buying from blind sources, generically calling out all components as shady because they happen to originate in China is not useful. Most components used by IHI, KKK, Garret, etc originate in China anyway. The value that these companies add is an extra measure of quality control on the components.It’s also worth noting that all of the technical information presented in this text is freely available online, including very good step-by-step turbo rebuild tutorial videos on YouTube for just about any turbocharge model.Save your money, skip this book.

I liked the step by step layout and the detail. I'd recommend this book to anyone wanting details on rebuilding this turbo.
