My hairpin leg table kept scratching the slate floor. These completely solved the problem. The protectors didn’t quite fit the legs so fell off when the table was moved but once we put a bit of glue on the legs there was no problem.

These do the trick
Grip with the hairpin legs is quite strong--I've had to reposition them a few times in the last months, but not often. They absolutely protect the floor and for the outdoor items, raise the metal off the flagstones to reduce rust stains.
