Where is the paper version John?
I love the title and the front cover here, but don't have a kindle and I don't want a kindle. Reviewed in October 2014 magazine 'What Doctors Don't Tell You', a book that appears to be hitting the target as accurately as his masterpiece 'Men are from Mars, women are from Venus', from a man who cured himself from Parkinsons Disease, John Gray. I so want this book, but not on a screen. See- 'Is the internet making us stupid,Telegraph'. I just bought the paperback from America (Amazon) for £11.

Not for my purposes
I wanted more about memory and this book was a bit too much about ADHD for me. But it was (fair enough) advertised as being specific to ADHD. I expected a bit more about how elecromagnetic smog affects us though as well as other electronic devices. The ADHD stuff was all good so if this is what you are after it is well wortn a read.

All I can say is... Yikes!
This book was recommended to me by a friend, but one chapter in-- I could tell something was off. This book is riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. There's links pushing supplements to the author's website, and so many generalizations linking nearly every possible ailment to ADHD.I looked up the "references" to the studies cited in the book, and some were simply homemade websites with zero credibility. Then I began to question "Doctor" John Gray's credentials- and turns out they are incredibly suspect. This book is absolutely not written by a medical professional because the claims are wild, all over the place, with "miracle cures" being pushed left and right. There are some real facts thrown in to make it sound intelligent, but also a whole lot of nonsense. Any critical thinker can see right through this book for what it is- a sales pitch.

Over all I am happy that I read this book
This is a good book.John Gray shared a lot of information that I was not aware of such as the harmful effects of ADHD medication on the brain, the way ADHD medication makes people more prone to be addicted to things, and the wide amount of ways ADHD shows up in peoples behaviors. He goes in to great depth about the mechanisms in the brain that cause ADHD and other symptoms to manifest. He describes what causes these brain level processes to happen and the ways to heal them. John gets very candid about his own experiences with ADHD and it really does seem through this book that he is very determined and passionate about this subject. His main goal with this book seems to be to help people. He even tells you early on in the book that if all you want to do is take action steps you can just skip to certain chapters in the book. There are a mixture of non supplement and supplement solutions to the ADHD problem in this book. Non supplement solutions include removing certain over stimulation activities such as caffine , videos games , etc. He takes the extremely unpopular position of suggesting that video games contribute to the underlying causes of ADHD. I found this interesting and would like to see more research and information about this, I would like to know if playing video games really does contribute to my ADHD like symptoms. Other non supplement approaches he recommends are hot baths. Which are awesome. Ive been doing the hot baths on and off for a while since I read this book and few things are more relaxing than following the hot bath protocol he describes in the book. I haven't been doing it as regularly as is suggested in the book though. He recommends doing the hot baths every other day for six months. I can totally see how this would be beneficial. He even claims that there was a study done where hot baths greatly helped people with autism. Another one is chiropractic and body work which is interesting and I had never heard of it being used in connection with ADHD. I haven't tried much of the bodywork stuff. but I would be interested in trying it someday. His suggestion was that bodywork can heal the head trauma that can be a cause of ADHD. And I have definitely had some head trauma. This book really made me appreciate how much ADHD can take away from your life and also made me hopeful that there are solutions. If you care about your ADHD then reading this book will make you want to make some lifestyle changes as there are lot of things that are contributing to the underlying cause of ADHD. So don't buy this if you don't want to change your diet or your lifestyle. The supplement solution he presents is pretty intense and kind of expensive depending on your budget. I haven't tried all of the supplements but I have tried a few. It does get kind of "salesmany", But the few supplements that he recommends that I have tried actually work. Grape seed extract, while not as grand as some of the advertisements made it out to be, actually does have an attention boosting effect. And lithium orotate, which is another weird supplement that Mr. Gray is a fan of, really does help me calm down and fall asleep. I bet if you went full on with the most advanced level of his supplement protocol you would probably feel really awesome. But it would probably cost you 500 dollars.Over all I am happy that I read this book. It is a unique and inspired voice in the area of ADHD and I look forward to volume two which is supposed to focus less on diet and supplements and mostly on relaxation and meditation. And the cherry on top is that this book is free if you subscribe to his newsletter on his website.

An informative read for anybody living in this busy world
Highly recommended and a joy to have a real book to read. However, in this case a computer at hand is useful to enable cross referencing the remedies which Dr. Gray suggests. They are all listed on his website. The book needs an index. It would then get 5 stars and I would then buy a second copy.
