My New Favorite Mug
I bought four of these! Incredibly beautiful, easy to clean, and it’s the first mug my guests go for when they’re getting a glass out of my cabinet. Can be used for cold or hot beverages. Only thing is I wish it came in a 16oz or bigger size!

Wonderful mug but they changed the design without advertising said design change anywhere.
I have seen this mug on YouTube for many years and wonder what it was when I finally figured out what it was I was so excited we were watching YouTube shorts on my TV and I finally noticed the pure over logo. I ordered it off their website and when it came in, it looked different. I contacted them and it took them almost 4 days to come up with a resolution which was sending me the old design, which is no longer available by the way. They said that they updated the handle design to include two welds, but I noticed that it wasn’t anywhere on their website or advertisements or social media. If what they say is true all future mugs will look like this so just a word of warning.

Chic elegant design
I'm a coffee aficionado and really enjoy using different mugs/cups like this one to sip it in. This mug is a contemporary angular design that I find to be chic, elegant and simplistic - some of the pics can make it appear totally vertical, but it's a lovely angular design. It's made from lead-free borosilicate glass which means it's stronger than typical glass and as the product details cite 'more resistant to heat fluctuations', reducing the risk of it cracking and shattering on you from pouring an extra hot liquid in it. The mug walls are thicker than some other borosilicate glass cups I have, and it’s pleasant to drink from. The handle placement, length, and design is also nicely done, you can easily hold the mug and drink without it feeling awkward like some other mugs where the handle is too thin, or too short, or a strange shape, etc.It came with an accompanying ceramic saucer, which is nice to use vs. placing the mug on the table/counter on its own. Even though borosilicate glass is said to be more durable (in a sense), it 'looks' delicate and I thereby automatically find myself being very delicate in how these mugs are handled...so if using the saucer, I'm still quite careful about how I place it down (on any surface, for that matter). Further to this, I also had to be careful at removing it from the box, there's a clear plastic piece over the handle holding the mug in place and you must gently slide it up and out of that plastic sleeve. It's a microwave safe mug and can be safely placed on my cup warmer plate. I hand wash this mug, just like I do for all of my borosilicate glass cups/mugs.The mug is clear and appears well made, though I do feel its price could be a bit less. I'm accustomed to paying more for the varieties of 'gear' (so to speak) needed for coffee making and coffee enjoying, like somewhat of a hobbyist, but I still think the price point for this mug, albeit very nice, is a bit high. Nonetheless, I'm enjoying using it in the rotation of my different mugs and will continue using it!

Cheaply made, awkward to use
So the first one of these we got was a problem from the start. Trying to remove the cup from the packaging, the handle instantly snapped off and cut my thumb. They sent a replacement and that one I took out VERY carefully -- and still it took a LONG time to get the handle free from the packaging.Once all that drama was over, the glass itself and the ceramic base were underwhelming. It is an odd shape, which looked kinda cool in the listing photo, but in real life is not very appealing. Also, the ceramic coaster is an item I would never use with this cup, because each time I set it down, it was glass on ceramic -- not only a loud and unpleasant sound, but made me worried each time that the cup was going to break when I set it on the ceramic. Definitely not going to use this.

Quality Glass Mug
The Pure Over Signature glass mug is a component of the Pure Over pour-over setup consisting of the mug and base, a pour-over glass filter and a carafe. I snatched up the mug because its physical design seemed very compelling to me. The mug is made of borosilicate - a higher density glass containing boron trioxide - the addition of that agent to the glass makes it less resistant to thermal expansion and thermal shock. Borosilicate glass is the glass that is used for laboratory glass and some famous lab glass manufacturers. Because borosilicate glass resists shock, it can be formed into interesting shapes and the user can have some degree of comfort that the glass handle, for example, that he is using to hold that nice hot toddy won't suddenly crack on him and have the whole hot mess land on his lap. So, this is a really good thing for us coffee and tea afficionados. And, yes, it is microwave safe.Anyway, this particular mug is really nice to look at. It has a nice line and angle from its base to the top, adorned by a simple straight handle of glass. The mug sits on a simple black ceramic base (with an impression of the pure over logo). The theme actually is simplicity, but also elegance and this mug delivers that very nicely. The drinking experience is excellent. The shape of the mug encourages you to sample the coffee aromas before sipping. The lip of the mug is a smooth and rounded interface pleasing to sense with your lips and tongue. It is a quality mug, and despite not being a big pour-over drinker I will be purchasing the other components of this set for later this year.
