As soon as I saw this I immediately fell in love with it !! I'm a big Jurassic Park fan. It did not disappoint !! It looks like the in the movie. It's heavy and clear and the mosquito is nicely detailed !! Everyone who sees it is in awe and asks me how I got it lolthank you

So, yes, as some folks have said this is bigger than the head of the cane that John Hammond used in the movie. That said......are you kidding me?!? For the price it is great to get something that size. unless you are a pro-level cosplayer exactness should not matter. Also, it makes a good sized paperweight/ desk decoration/ shelf decoration. As seen in other reviews, it does have a thin line that you can see when held at the right angle, but since I didn't have to catch a mosquito, trap it in amber, and then wait a few thousand years for my results, I'll live with it ok.

After reading reviews for other similar items, I decided to purchase this one for my son's 35th birthday. He's been a fan since the movie came out. It's the PERFECT GIFT! He loves it! So purchased two more for myself! One for home and one for work. It's a decent size, love that the mosquito is 3D. There is a little line in the amber but not enough to take away from the beauty of this product. Highly recommend!

This mosquito is either huge or just magnified by the amber. It is a little frightening so consider your audience. I got it for my young grandson but will wait a while to give it to him. It’s a good conversation starter if you want talk about the dinosaur age. Good quality, good price, hefty. Nicely boxed.
