First off, I never leave reviews or answer surveys or anything like this. I want to praise the heck out of this printer. I got this printer and computer duo to take a chance, and I am seriously so happy I did choose hp rather than any other brand. I've been terrified of printers since I was kid and they always intimidated me, seeming fragile and very easy to mess up. I can't believe 1. that i purchased a printer and 2. that it IS SO EASY AND NICE!!! I put off getting this out of the delivery box because I was dreading a set up thinking it would be overwhelming and i was scared to mess things up. They send you a paper guide with pictures and explain every single detail. They also install the printer app on your computer and you can troubleshoot anything. They include a reference guide in the paper packet that shows any code that could pop up and how to fix it!! I thought I messed something up when I went to print my test page. I saw the code pop up on the printer "E3" which freaked me out, but it just meant that I didn't close something all the way.. This thing is great, no need to hesitate or freak out like i did!!

Easy to set up. I like that the ink doesn't seem to dry out as fast as with the old style printer cartridges.Hopefully it lasts several years- I have really had it with planned obsolescence and I am tired of investing in items that only last a short time- hopefully this last well beyond the promised 'you get 2 years worth of ink- implying the product will last beyond that- which I hope it does. We are all trying to function in the modern world but if it become too burdensome to do so more of will simply 'opt out' of all of it, so I hope companies start to realize that and build products that people can buy maybe 2- 3x in their lifetime vs having to fill land fills and dump plastic in the oceans. Anyway sorry for the mini rant but seriously it's enough. The printer has worked very well for 1 month so far- I need to print scripts at home for my work which I feel guilty enough about. I hope I don't need to throw this printer in the trash in a year- will circle back after some time has passed and up dated but so far so good- easy to connect to wifi nice image quality - having some trouble printing some PDFs in color- but that might be a local problem.

HP AMAZON is a BIG SCAM - DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON. The warranty does not start when you first install the printer, it starts when the printer was manufactured. So I got this in September and the warranty was already 8 months into the product. I just called support and they suggest I buy another printer from HP directly and they can't send me replacement print heads because it is already out of warranty - This is a 4 month old printer from when I unboxed it and started using it. This is the biggest SCAM I have ever been a part of. The printer is useless and does not work. They will do nothing to help.I purchased this on Amazon. Set it up and straight out of the box it did not work. Contacted HP - they had to send new Printheads. You can only get those through HP - Now 4 months later, I get the same issue. PRINTHEAD PROBLEM. When I called the first time, the warranty was not the full year because it was sitting in a warehouse some where and it had 6 months left on the warranty. When you take the PRNTHEADS out there is ink all over the place inside and all over the Printheads. I clean them off and it does not fix the problem. Now I have to call HP again to see if I can get new Printheads. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER..... Buyer Beware

Capability-Honestly, the best purchase I’ve made of 2025.I have printed over 3000 pages and it’s still working great. Honestly, completely worth the price you’re paying for. I print probably about four days out of the week and I’ve had the printer since February.Color quality-Does amazing but sometimes too saturated if there is a colored filter on the photos. You can always adjust the settings in the app.Ink capacity-I have printed over 3000 pages and around 40 photos and I’m still working on the same ink bottles I got with the printer.Scanning capabilities-The scanner works great other than it prints at a much slower rate. Also, I’ve used the scanner so much it now squeals a little bit.Compatibility-I print solely from my phone and it works great. If you’re printing from the app, you can’t use your phone while it’s printing but if you print from your google drive, you can still use your phone and leave the page.Hotspot-Using the printer from your mobile hotspot is a hit or a miss sometimes it works great and sometimes I have a little bit of trouble but that might be because of where I’m at. Majority of the time I have no issues.I’ve been printing safety data sheets for my work and those are 12 - 15 pages long and when on my hotspot, I can only print 3 copies of the packets if I try and print 4 copies of the packet it doesn’t work.Ink filling-Easiest process in the world. Never a mess.I’m giving this product a four star for the fact that sometimes I have connectivity issues when printing off my hotspot, but that may also be because of the area I’m in.The only thing I have not figured out is to get the unlimited ink for two years. I also haven’t run out of ink so I have not had to deep dive into that.

The setup took some effort due to my now obsolete 20th century engineering skills, but following their website and downloading hpsmart was essential. Seems to work well, printing is a little slow per page, but likely typical I guess. I’m pleased that the inks are on the order of $30 for the complete set, compared to more than $100 for the Epson cartridges for my old printer. There was some confusion on setup when I downloaded an upgrade, so have some patience if you do that. Overall I’m pleased.

Two years of free ink included? I dunno. I found four bottles of ink in the box. Nothing about free ink for two years. These four bottles supposed to last me two years? Good luck with that. I expected more.WES
