Baby Shapes 1-2-3 Paperback – 15 Jun. 2013

It's quite a while now since my kids were babies. However, when they were I got them a set of these Baby Shapes books and they loved them. Since then I have been buying them regularly as a present for new parents and they always go down a treat.I think that it's perhaps one of those things that you have to see to believe, but babies will really stare at and interact with these pictures. From just a few weeks old it's been possible both with my kids, and those that have had these as a gift, to tell which pictures the babies like or are interested in, (they'll stare at them for quite some time and their eyes will move around the picture), and which they aren't all that keen on, (they'll turn their head away). This can vary day on day. My kids seemed to find the books very soothing and they often worked a treat if they were starting to get a bit fractious or bored so I carried them with me wherever we went for quite some time. The pictures get more complex as you go through the books so you start off with Book 1 when the child is very young and progress through them when they're ready. Looking at a book with your baby and seeing them enjoying it is really rewarding and, you never know, it may encourage a lifelong love of books!I would highly recommend these books to new parents or to people looking for a baby gift.

Used to occupy my 3 month old on flights, in waiting rooms and in quiet wedding ceremonies. Really nice progression between the 3 books and good measures stimulation. Cute seeing baby's reaction to the different pics. Definitely worth the money. Pop one in your changing bag for when you need a couple of mins of peace!!

I bought these for my premature baby, it's almost his due date and he has really started enjoying these books and really spends a great deal of time looking at them. I prop them up inside either side of his cot and he can see them whichever way he is facing. I will be buying them for the next friend that has baby!

My granddaughter loved these books and she is only 3 months old.

Love these books for newborns. They are absolutely mesmerised by them at an age when very little seems to keep their attention. Grey value for money. My little one will stare at these images for ages.
