Creative Haven Circular Cities Coloring Book Paperback – Illustrated, 27 Jan. 2017

I like the Creative Haven colouring books, because the motifs are printed on one side of the page and each page is perforated, which makes it easy to remove them.None of the designs goes across the perforation or spreads over two pages.It definitely works best for me, as I like to place the individual page on a clipboard.The paper quality is fine, white with a smooth surface, the thickness somewhere in the middle. I would recommend to place a sheet of paper or cardboard behind the page you’re working on to avoid bleed through.There are 31 different Circular Cities to colour and it’s a good variety. There are the obvious ones Paris, New York, London, but it’s lovely to see, also Dublin and Edinburgh are included, waiting for some fresh colours.To list the 31 cities alphabetically:Bangkok, Barcelona, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Cairo, Chicago, Dubai, Dublin, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Istanbul (looks really stunning), Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Mexico City, Miami, Montreal, Moscow, New Orleans, New York, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Venice, Vienna and finally a World page where the most famous buildings and sights from around the globe come together (it’s also the picture on the front cover)..Every circular design shows the famous landmarks of that particular city and they are listed on the back of the page by name, which I love, as, of course, I don’t know them all.The difficulty works for me as well, I found the parts to colour are neither to intricate and unnerving, nor are they too big. Paris looks lovely and has some really nice and challenging parts, Istanbul with the Hagia Sophia in the background is simply stunning and then there’s London and Big Ben, the Gherkin and so much more.The Circular Cities certainly offer hours of relaxing colouring fun.

So different, hope I can do justice to the artist who drew thesepictures.Am saving it till I have more experience with simpler booksas I am just a beginner with colouring technics.So much more meaningful than mandalas.
