I gifted this to my daughter who is 12. It comes with safety gloves to handle the sharp blades. This was very easy for her to follow with the directions. The blades are very sharp so it cuts through the wood with ease. She said the gloves were a little big for her hands but they were comfortable. Overall the quality is great and everyone is happy!

Great kit. We got a two person beginner project kit from another company. The knives in this kit come much sharper but a whetstone will be needed down the line and we needed smaller gloves for my son and my smaller hands to round out this kit. Really like the set and the basic knife is our preferred knife over the 2 given in the other starter set.

I purchased this woodworking kit for my son. When I received the kit I was impressed by the package and most importantly the products. They seem to be very sturdy and well made. The blades are extremely sharp.. they came with covers which is nice to have all the to time although it seems we've lost all but one lol. There is a pair of stab and cut prof gloves and my son wanted to test them prior to use and we can confirm they work 😅 There is sharpening tools as well! The wood pieces were exactly as described and the canvas pouch to keep the tools in looks and feels built to last. The whole family sat and carved up some wood and enjoyed our time to bond in a new way... although we need a bit more practice 😂 but I know this kit will help us develop a skill!
